Is it just me, or is this show absolutely funny. I like the whole crew and everyone is funny. What do you guys think of this show? Do you think David Spade is better in movies (then in this show) or do you think he's funnier off the movie scene? In my opinion, this show rocks!!!

Finch is a great character, it is superior to anything David Spade has done in his movie career.

Well, in his movies, Spade usually played the straight-forward guy who was a sly smartass. This is pretty much Spade's character on the show, except for the fact that he isn't that straight-forward. The perverted traits and such aren't subtle on the show like they were in most of his movies. Make no doubt about it, I love the show and think that every character is excellent in their respective roles. Nina is a hilarious dimwitted slut, but doesn't fall prey to being a total moron all of the time. Elliot works well with Finch or Jack, although he's good with the rest of the cast, but excells with those two. Mya plays her role nicely, because even though you may not find her funny and a bit annoying at times, that's her character. It's sort of like Lisa and Marge on the Simpsons. Not the funniest characters on the show, but then again, they aren't supposed to be. There's something about Jack that just gets my attention. I think it's just George Segal's great voice, but he has a certain mystique that you can't ignore. Characters like Kevin are also hilarious in their small, but effective roles. I haven't seen the show much lately, but the ones I did catch were pretty mediocre and I don't care much for the new member of the cast. Maybe it's gotten better, but if that was an indication of what it's like, then I'm afraid the show's days are numbered.

Yes, Just Shoot Me is great show. It has declined in the years, but still good.

 

Thanks for reminding me the show is on at 12:30, I can watch something better than Joy Ride.

I liked the show alot as well.... david spade is pretty damn funny and i like his Finch character he plays ever so well. Its gotten old to me though so I dont watch as much as Id like.

I have never seen this show. Most network sitcoms don't interest me in the least as they are so unrealistic in nature that it just makes them lame. The Simpsons is probobaly the ONLY comedy I watch on any broadcast networks and that is a damn cartoon.

Seriously, it's just an okay show. Better than most if you judge it against the veritable cornucopia of crap currently on TV.

 

It's definitely no News Radio or Bosom Buddies.
