Nintendo and Square

Now, that we will be seeing Square making games for Nintendo again what are your thoughts on this?

I'm pretty happy, since a GC is the only next-gen system that I own, and I might actually get a FF game on it!  Too bad no remakes of FFVI or FFVIII, though... at least I don't think.

I hope Square still makes games for the PS2, as I bought it due in large part because of Square.

There was basically just a guy or two keeping Nintendo and Square apart over what was basically a logical business decision by Square many years ago.  It's good to see that they've finally smoothed things over.  I don't even have a GameCube, but I most likly will in the future and Square is a good team to have aboard.

If the reconciliation of Nintendo and Square results in anything like what they both pumped out for the SNES, I'm all for it.

Oh, I'm sure PS2 will still get games.  But, if Square come up with FFXI and put it on PS2 AND GC, don't be surprised if GC gets the game first.

It's become apparant times and times again by developers that the GC is easier to develop for between all the next-gen systems.

Although, with the limit capability of only holding 1.5 G, this might mean that GC won't be getting FFX or FFXI.  But, I heard that the Resident Evil remakes will have multiple disks... oh crap, who knows?

It's good news for Nintendo but how just how good has yet to be seen. Apparently Square won't be making the games themselves, but a Square "affiliate". Who and what is this affiliate? What are they going to make? Original games? Ports? Will any of the main FF games be coming to GC?
