Guest netslob Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 sometimes when going thru indy websites or title history sites i come across various promotions that have a brass knuckles title. what ARE these things? are they like hardcore titles? do the wrestlers wear brass knux through-out the match? some body help a brutha' out...it's been driving me batshit for a while now.
Guest dreamer420 Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 I think it's just a hardcore title if i'm not mistaken.
Guest Dace59 Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Yep, the name is taken from FMW I think.
Guest Steviekick Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 Yeah...FMW had/has a brassknuckles title
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 How long has FMW had theirs? I ask because their has been one in Texas since the 1950's, so always assumed that that one was before the one in Japan, but have to admit that my knowledge about international wrestling is not that great.
Guest JHawk Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 FMW's couldn't be more than about 10-12 years old because I don't think they came into existence until the late 80s. One version of the brass knuckles title was defended at Starrcade 84 and was essentially a hardcore title.
Guest Sturgis Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 FMW started in 1989 I don't know when they introduced the Brass Knuckles Title or why they had it since they were always hardcore. Mike Awesome was the last the hold the title when he unified it with a title I forget right now to make it the Double Titles then it turned into the WEW World Title.
