Two words:

Donnie Darko.

I've already seen it, and loved it also. As a matter of fact, it's one of the best films I've ever seen when I really get down to it. I think everyone should check this one out, I really do.

I agree with Downhome about Donnie Darko being one of the best films I've ever seen. Which makes me all the more angry that TV Guide only gave it ** out of a possible ****, yet gave that overrated boring piece of shit Dances With Wolves the full ****.

I find it kinda funny and I find it kinda sad, that the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.

I literally start to cry whenever I see the end of that movie. It's so damn BEAUTIFUL (in a sick sort of way).

I'm not moved to tears or anything, but yes Donnie Darko is EXCELLENT on so many different levels. I can't wait to see this director's next project whatever it is he chooses.

And DRIVE is only worth seeing if you're a huge Brittany Murphy mark like I WAS at the time that I saw it.

Rent Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru, probably the best movie I've ever seen.

Definitely one of Akira's more underrated movies. Well....perhaps not so, but this one seems to get lost in the shuffle while people tend to focus more upon his period epics like Ran, Rashomon, or Seven Samurai[.I] Ikiru is a very beautiful and haunting film. From a personal standpoint, it may be my favorite of all of Kurosawa's works.

Now to move onto the more grotesque stuff: I recommend two of the best werewolf flicks in recent years, the delightful Ginger Snaps, and the sinisterly fun Dog Soldiers.
