Guest Karnage Report post Posted January 11, 2003 According to IGN, Ultimate Muscle: Legends Vs. New Generation is coming to hit North America in April for the Gamecube. It's made by AKI and well, it's way better than having a game where rappers wrestle. Also, with the WWE games THQ is churning out lately, this could be the only wrestling game worth playing over here in Canada and the United States.

Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted January 11, 2003 I dont think there are any real wrestlers, I heard a while back it was liscensed by Bandai. It has some really cartoony cel-shaded graphics. It also has crazy super moves where you'll jump like 50 feet in the air and land on the rope and bounce across into your opponent. It's supposed to be arcade style and very fast paced. There isn't supposed to be a focus on grappling, which is what everyone loves about AKI games. I think IGN even said there isn't much depth to it at all. That Def Jam game is probably the way to go. Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted January 11, 2003 Def Jam is looking to be the game for those who, like myself, are craving a wrestling game fix like the one given to us by No Mercy. From what I've gathered, Ultimate Muscle looks like it's going to be along the lines of WrestleMania: The Arcade Game.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted January 11, 2003 will the German wrestler from the old series be in it?
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted January 12, 2003 Will it have the loveable characters from the Fox Box show, complete with their cleverly disguised WWE-inspired names, such as Mr. McMad and Kevin Mask of the [dMp]?
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted January 12, 2003 Let's hope so, because then I got a game I can get for my nephew that he'll actually like and is wrestling. I saw one ep of Ultimate Muscle. Holy shit does that show rule... Fox has a good line-up now. Ultimate Muscle, UltraMan Tiga...mmmmmmm...
Guest DVD Spree Report post Posted January 13, 2003 I'm playing Ultimate Muscle RIGHT NOW. Kevin Mask is indeed in it, and one of the ring mats you can choose is the dMp mat. Awesome stuff. I'd say the game probaly won't have as much longevity for people who aren't fans of anime, or the show in particular. But I'm not a huge fan and I love the fucker. It's more of a fighting game taht takes place in a wrestling ring than a true wrestling game though (although it does feature the AKI engine), so in that respect it's probably closer to Def Jam than you might think. Guest DVD Spree Report post Posted January 13, 2003 We've actually been talking about it in this thread for a while now: http://www.thesmartmarks.com/forums/index....4&t=23681&st=30 There's a couple of links in my last post to videos of the game, if anyone wants to check them out. Guest DVD Spree Report post Posted January 17, 2003 Here's a question: When you've got a special, can you steal your opponent's finisher a la all the other AKI games? Seeing as each character's MAX is so awesome, and seeing as you can do all the double team specials, it would make sense.
