Guest red_file Report post Posted January 13, 2003 Perhaps I should've said the equating of emerging female sexuality with becoming a werewolf, which, yes, would be puberty and the tensions resultant of one girl going through it while the other is forced to watch and not fully understand what's going on as Ginger turns into something dangerous. It just didn't entirely work for me. When I get around to watching it again, I might see the connections and resolution better, but at the time it felt like the parallel was dropped towards the end in favor of more tradtional horror. Does anyone remember a movie, it was like a PG-13 horror movie (I think), that had some chick turning into a plant monster or something? Maybe she already was the plant monster throughout, I don't remember. For some reason the description of GINGER SNAPS made me think of that. Anyway. Is this an older movie?
