John Barry's great orchastra work is perfectly juxtaposed by a-ha's catchy pop sound. Close second is On Her Majesty's Secret Service. It perfectly encapsulates the spirit of adventure present in that film.

As for more recent ones, I think "The World Is Not Enough" by Garbage was no doubt the best. Least favorite: "License To Kill" by Gladys Knight (or was it Natalie Cole? I forgot.)
