Guest Mole Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 I don't know if anyone saw the preview for this show. But it is called Man vs Beast. And there is a guy trying to out run giraffe, a guy trying to eat more hotdogs than a bear and 50 men trying to race and elephant to see who can pull an airplane farther. Well, something like that. This looks funny as fuck, and it is on Wednesday at 9. Nothing else is on then, so I'll be there. What about you fellas?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 Great. Another Fox freak show. I don't really want to see the fat fuck they bring in who says he can eat more than a freaking bear.
Guest the pinjockey Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 It isn't a fat guy, it is the little skinny Japanese guy. And also it is not 50 men trying to pull more weight than an elephant it is 50 MIDGETS which does indeed make it all worthwhile.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 The guy trying to out eat a beat isn't a fat guy at all. It's some Asian guy. Somehow skinny asian guys always end up winning all those eating contest.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 I'll give it one shot anyway...not like Wed offers up anthing good tv wise anyway. Doesn't sound like something I'd watch regularly though
Guest Mole Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 Oh ya, I wouldn't watch it everynight. But it won't hurt to watch it once. Besides, nothing else is on Wednesdays at 9.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 A skinny japanese guy ate like 60 hot dogs at the Hot Dog eating contest at Coney Island back in July.. the thing with that though is that the bear can probably swallow 2 or 3 of them whole at a time where as he can only eat 1/2 of one at a time.. I didn't think Giraffes were real fast..
Guest El Satanico Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 The thing with Giraffes is that they are actually alot faster than they look. I believe it's because their height makes it appear they are slower. I believe that's what i've heard.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 Well, I suppose that makes since. They have long legs. Probably a ton of steps for a human for every step a giraffe makes. I'd be affraid that it would step on me.. If anyone has a chance, its probably the 50 guys vs the elephant..
Guest razazteca Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 the hotdog eating champion is name is Kawada or Kobashi. this show cannot be anyworst than the Fear Factor eating contest show ripoff they did last year.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 "Nothing else is on Wednesday nights." T N A
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 "Nothing else is on Wednesday nights." T N A I stand by my statement...since Russo's decided to put himself on tv non stop
LaParkaYourCar Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 Oh ya, I wouldn't watch it everynight. But it won't hurt to watch it once. Besides, nothing else is on Wednesdays at 9. Isn't that the time slot that Angel is moving to?
Guest Vyce Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 I think this could quite possibly be the stupidest show ever to air on network television (no small feat, considering this IS FOX we're talking about). But shit, I may watch it anyway.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 the hotdog eating champion is name is Kawada or Kobashi. I take it that the name being the same as a famous Japanese wrestler is just a coincidence?
Guest razazteca Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 its some skinny kid that weighs about 110 pounds, but he does have a Fighting Spirit.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 That guy's insane. His nickname's Tsunami. I wouldn't be surprised if he beat a bear. There's no way the guy's going to outrun the giraffe, though.
Guest hardyz1 Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 His name is Kobayashi. I'll watch it. No PPV here, so no TNA.
Guest Army Eye Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 This show is hilarious to me. The fact that they're going to the trouble to collect 50 midgets, an elephant, and have them pulling AIRPLANES so they can race each other for no apparent reason just kills me. The commercial makes it sounds like these are burning questions that mankind has pondered for centuries. Who would win? A MAN V. A GIRAFFE? Finally we get the answer! Damn right I will watch. I'll watch anything this bizarre.
Guest Choken One Posted January 14, 2003 Report Posted January 14, 2003 Anything's better then the Bachlorlette.
Guest So what? I liked bubble boy Posted January 14, 2003 Report Posted January 14, 2003 Well, I think the man will eat more then the bear and the 50 little people will pull the plane farther. Also giraffe (I think) will beat the man.
Guest the saiyan prince Posted January 14, 2003 Report Posted January 14, 2003 i can't believe show has any legs this a hrrible reality based show all i can say is hope the bear and the man is no wear close to each cause after the hotdogs the bear can turn on him then the show will be called when bad shows get cancelled
Guest starvenger Posted January 14, 2003 Report Posted January 14, 2003 The only thing that really intrigues me about this show is bear vs Kobayashi.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 14, 2003 Report Posted January 14, 2003 50 midgets all in one place is enough to grab my attention, and the fact that they're putting them to work only makes me want to watch more.
Guest So what? I liked bubble boy Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 50 midgets all in one place is enough to grab my attention, and the fact that they're putting them to work only makes me want to watch more. lol
Guest RepoMan Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Man (or at least the Japanese) are 0 for 2 so far with man losing to bear and sumo wrestler losing to orangitang (sp?) in a tug of war. Can a navy seal redeem the human race facing off against a chimp in an obstecle course?
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 2 to 1 the bear eats Kobayashi.
Guest Army Eye Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 This show is so hilarious. Just brilliant
Guest RepoMan Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 I'm surprised they didn't blur out the monkey genetalia.
Guest RepoMan Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Beast wins 4-2. All hail our new animal overlords!
