New news on Wrestlemania 19 Setup

Wrestlemania at the Superdome would be INSANE. They could legit get about 85,000 in there after all the seats were figured out with the stage and such.

WWE would need to heat up their product real quick before they could get 85,000 to the Superdome. While I think they could draw pretty big on just the wrestlemania name alone, they would need the product to be hot to draw people who wouldn't mind being in the real shitty seats just so they could say the were there at the "place to be". That "place to be" stigma has been lost on WWE events for quite sometime now.

While WWE is announcing a sellout for WM19, I wonder how much of the stadium seating did they open up to the public? I remember when WWE had Judgement Day 2001 where I live here in Sacramento and they claimed a sellout about 2 weeks before the show. Then 2-3 days later they opened up around 2-3,000 more seats up. They just cut back on the staging area is all. I wonder if WWE will do something similar or are all the available stadium seating is really sold out?

How about Miller Park in Milwaukee for a future venue? Nice new retractible roof stadium, could work well, if this SafeCo thing goes allright. Id at least have the opportunity to see Wrestlemania live if it were in Wisconsin, just about the only WWE event Id consider paying to see in its present state.

As a resident of the northern Illinois area, I would love Miller Park. Milwaukee is always a hot crowd, and that could get 45,000-ish with a small stage and floor seats. It'd be cool to have the roof open and do an open-air show, because I love those. Only problem is that it would have to be in early April to get decent weather in Milwaukee, and the weather appterns are so weird here you can get anything from a blazzard to a heat wave. I've seen both. And then you're getting close to Brewers season and this might tear up the grass a bit.

Oh well, we're putting it to better use than the Brewers...sheesh.

Wrestle-mania XXI will be at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh Scotland as Vince attempts to capitalise on European fans utter idiocy when it comes to paying for WWE events. If well pay £40 a ticket for HOUSE SHOWS and £80 for PPVs with worse bills that your usual SD! imagine hwat we'd pay for Wrestle-mania!!!!

Murrayfield also has a 70'000 capacity not counting the pitch so they could probably fit about 90'000 in there.

Don't most of these new baseball stadiums, the one's with the retractable roofs and natural grass have special platforms that cover the field for events like this (or concerts) so as not to destroy the grass for baseball? I'd assume that SafeCo has that, considering the baseball season starts up so soon after Mania.

They tend to do that often though. It's one of those things where you never knewcexactly how many seats you can put in a building until you get everything ready. Same thing happened here (Key Arena in Seattle) when they had RAW and SmackDown. You couldn't really tell until you got things in place. So far, I haven't been able to find pair of seats since about an hour after sales time but I just found a single today.

If they want to use Baseball Stadiums, Great American Ballpark would be great because it can hold 64,000 but if sales are bad, can easily be scaled to 42,000. Perfect sightlines, On the Ohio River.

or Call me nuts, Why not have a WM in Mexico? They can Have Eddy in the Main event :)

Wrestlemania XX is already at MSG. That's a given.

Now XXI might be another story.

I have a feeling somehow, though, it may come back to the Motor City. Sure, Vengeance didn't sell out... but then again, Vengeance sucked.

WM XXI in 2005+Super Bowl XL in 2006 (both being at the amazingly awesome Ford Field)=My Dream :)

NOTE: Outside of my personal dream, I'd say that XXI ends up in St. Louis. Gut feeling here.

In terms of Domes, I wouldn't be shocked if Vince goes with Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Which can hold only 40,000 at the most but has more history these days then SuperDome or Jones Dome (God I hate that Name).

By the way, it was mentioned a while ago that the setup for WM is to not hang ANYTHING from the roof. I don't know if the dome can't take the stress or what. But everything is going to sit on the floor and rise up.

Not only does that give everything a WCW look, but I wonder how they plan to provide the Nosebleed Seats with a big enough 'Tron to see what's going on, or whether people in the nosebleeds will be just plain out of luck this year, unable to see anything at all except the glare from Hogan's bald spot.

They said they aren't sure if they'll open the dome or not, but I'd bet money it's closed. I mean, jesus, Seattle in the spring? HELLO, RAINY SEASON!

XX for MSG is pretty much a sure bet. I have my doubts whether the company will live to see XXI if things don't improve, though.

Oh no. All they have to do is use the basic NJPW dome set up. Do the ring set up with the lights coming straight up with the posts and the lighting focused on the ring. Darken the entire stadium as much as possible to put the focus on the ring, which will in turn make it easier to see from the upper sections if the crowd's blacked out. It also gives it that "sport" feel. I'd model the entrance out of Pride with a big long entrance ramp but something bridging a section of the ramp to the other. Do something sorta creative with the entrance. Maybe a mirror-like XIX with one big screen and a second smaller one. Maybe a tunnel leading in with the lighting focused there on there. Sporadic spotlight spaced out on the walkway.
