What a bunch of shit. BookDust work their asses off, get over on their own, finally win the tag titles, but get left out in cold in favor of a crappy Dudleyz-Storm/Regal feud. Jesus Christ...

Shane is worse than Bischoff

We're either going to get a garbage match between the two, or Shane is going to turn on Vince, take SmackDown, and we'll get Shane vs The Allied Evil Boss Owners Of The 90s.

Which, of course, is basically InVasion with role-reversal.

And we know what a huge success that was, right?

If the Ross report was still around, it would be explaining how it takes time to build new talent.

Takes no time at all to destroy it though.

Hurricane vs. Steven Richards? This match cant's happen. That means one of them has to get a victory on Raw. That's not right.

HHH could get severely injured! :P :

"Was there any legitimacy to the Road Warriors-Powers of Pain bench press competition angle?

In short, yes. The incident in question occurred on 01/30/88 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The National Wrestling Alliance, with whom the Road Warriors were affiliated at the time, were in search of a quality opponent for the Road Warriors. A sign of this was five nights earlier at the Bunkhouse Stampede, Hawk challenged Ric Flair for the NWA World heavyweight championship.

In this angle, the plan was for the Powers of Pain to attack the Road Warriors to establish heat for a feud. The bench press competition was also used to put both teams over as powerhouses. Both teams posted "$50,000" in this bench press challenge. The contest was held as part of the a routine wrestling program with a set of weights was being positioned near ringside with a contest to follow.

Animal represented the Road Warriors first on the bar. He claimed that the bench press record was 705 pounds and informed the audience he was "close" to breaking it. The Warriors' manager Paul Ellering and his counterpart "Number One" Paul Jones provided instruction for their teams in this segment. Ivan Koloff, another of Jones' charges was also present during this angle. Thus, the heels outnumbered the Road Warriors.

During the contest Animal instructed 600 pounds be placed on the bar which elicited a response from the audience. It was at this time an attack occurred. It was a scary moment as the weights almost hit Hawk as he prepared to lift. Then, Warlord threw Animal into a free weight head first. Unfortunately, the notoriously clumsy Warlord's timing was off and he legitimately injured Animal.

The March 1989 Pro Wrestling Illustrated detailed Animal's injuries (page 29):

The orbital rim of Animal's left eye was so severely damaged that it had to br operated on from the inside out, with surgery performed through the sinus area. Part of his sinus bone had to be used to rebuild the orbital rim. Thirty stitches were needed to close the area removed inside the sinus. He was out of action for about two months."

I take it that you didn't actually pay attention to the commerical...? Because if you would've listened to a word that guy said you would've understood it

They haven't even touched each other yet...and I mean that in a wrestling sense...

Are they going to have a staring contest at the Rumble?
