Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted January 15, 2003 :::runs away, tail between his legs, obviously "defeated"::: Where exactly was I proven wrong again? Last I checked I made a joke about the release date of this trash and everyone got all serious and took it to heart like I was attacking their mother or (lack of) manhood. There wasn't anything to be proven. I don't care if the movie comes out or not; it's tripe that probably doesn't deserve a release (it's only about oh, 15 years too late) and YES, you STILL can't spell. You are still grasping at straws my friend. This matter is over and yes you have been defeated. Mainly because the things you have said have been proven to to be untrue. The movie not being released, a lie. Me being a little kid, a lie. Me not being able to spell, a lie. You are nothing more then a liar and have no place posting anywhere. Like I have stated before if you would like to continue this little disagreement just start a thread in NHB. Not to be an old stick in the mud or anything, but if you're going to talk about being able to spell, shouldn't you make sure that any sentences that follow don't have spelling or grammatical errors? I think that all PFQ was saying after a while is that because of your spelling and grammar errors, you gave off the impression that you may have not yet completed the seventh grade. A lot of people will say how you shouldn't dwell on such mistakes and that it's just a message board, but even so, shouldn't you at least try to make your posts presentable and error free? Saying that the accusations of you not being able to spell are false and then following it up with a sentence where you use "then" in the wrong context, just seems a little careless, IMO. I'm not some expert on spelling and grammar, but I am able to apply the fairly basic aspects of them to my writing. I mean come on, using "their, they're, and there," or "your and you're," or "than and then," in the proper context isn't that hard. Perhaps if you took some of the time a lot of you spend on making banners and put it into learning some of these simple grammatical rules, you could polish up your posts a bit. And not to take sides here, but even I can remember hearing about this crossover as a kid and it seemed like nothing more than a pipe dream for years and years, so I can sympathize with his "I'll believe it when I see it" outlook on it. Just because he isn't a horror movie guru (is that a bad thing or not?), doesn't mean we need to head over to the ol' NHB for flaming at dawn.
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted January 15, 2003 I'd also like to thank the handful of posters who rallied behind you to attempt to make me look like an idiot...because you sure as shit can't do it. Yeah, you can do it all on your own, without help from anyone! Good job!

Guest Kagato Otaku Report post Posted January 15, 2003 I never "barked up a storm", but honestly, what's the picture from? Planet Hollywood somewhere? A wax museum? Corona says it's promotional junk Robert Englund has available on his website (along with some films stills and make-up shots). And not to take sides here, but even I can remember hearing about this crossover as a kid and it seemed like nothing more than a pipe dream for years and years, so I can sympathize with his "I'll believe it when I see it" outlook on it. Spiderman and X-Men were in creative limbo for years as well. And while I can understand where CJ's coming from on FvJ, when it gets this close to crunch-time a release is probably inevitable. And about Aliens vs. Predator - Signing Anderson means nothing. There are tons of movies out there that have been assigned scriptwriters & directors that have never been made. AvP has had its share of them. As has Freddy vs. Jason.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted January 15, 2003 Yes, the pic I posted was from Robert Englund.com BTW, this thread has gotten extremely immature with pointless mud slinging and people critisizing others for speeling and grammar. I can't believe anyone even bothers making posts attacking people they dont even know like that. Can we just get back to the topic at hand here?

Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted January 17, 2003 There are 3 different plot lines/summaries of Freddy vs. Jason on internet movie database....anyone know which one is true?
Guest PORNFAQ Report post Posted January 17, 2003 This has no relevance but C.H.U.D, your home theatre SO rules I beg to differ...looks kinda cramped and thrown together to me. Looks like something a college student would put together....only a poster HERE would have the nerve to even call that a "home theater". Looks more like a "movie corner". Guest eiker_ir Report post Posted January 17, 2003 at Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors they showed the trailer for the movie, here's a description from the Friday The 13th Forums ~~some SPOILERS i guess~~ The lighting & cinematography have that staple Elm St. surreal quality, lots of fog & blues, very atmospheric stuff. Freddy's looking his best since Elm St. 4 and Jason? Fucking MONSTER. He looks awesome & Kirzinger's take reminded me a lot of Tom Morga from Tommy's delusions in ANB crossed with a dash of CJ Graham. The crowd actually cheered louder for Jason than they did for Freddy. It's looking like the movie's gonna rawk some serious arse & then some It kicks off with an Elm St. girl singing the Freddy rhyme, then shows clips of Freddy with the narrator saying stuff about how "none can surpass his evil, except one." Cue Mr. Voorhees and the crowd went really insane. The rave in the cornfield is gonna be a highlight - Jason, standing almost as tall as the corn stalks, appears behind a group of revelers & hell breaks loose. They showed Freddy chasing someone through the woods, the scene exnoctem mentioned with the girl on the dock trying to pull young Jason out of the lake as Freddy was trying to drown him, Monica Keena laying awake in bed & it closed with a beautiful high shot of Jason walking down Elm St, machete in hand, with the street sign in the foreground & "Summer 2003". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ sound pretty cool, i can't wait for this! Guest PORNFAQ Report post Posted January 18, 2003 You didn't upset me, CHUB. I'm just wondering what about that cozy little two-man nook makes you so proud that you have to put it in your sig? "MY LITTLE home theatre" is exactly right.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted January 18, 2003 I WAS gonna reply with smart ass comment of "Yeah Chud, why WOULD you put up a picture of your home theater?! By the way here's a picture of mine...." But when I tried to take the picture I found out that the crap is so damn big that I couldn't back up far enough to get the whole thing into frame. haha
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 18, 2003 Well damn that does sound like a great Trailer. Any clue when it will be shown in theaters and what movies it will be attached to? So i guess the making Jason closer to Freddy's size rumor was wrong?
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted January 18, 2003 In depends on who you listen to about that footage. Some people have said it looked good, other's have said that it just about the gayest thing they've ever seen. So we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves. It's gonna be attached to Final Destination 2.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 18, 2003 Well it does sound good, but i guess that could change when actually seeing it.

Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Report post Posted January 19, 2003 After reading the description of that trailer, I realized that I had been holding my breath from the first line. I WILL wait outside the theater for this one. My friend does it for Star Wars, I'll do it for Jason.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Comingsoon reports that the Freddy vs Jason teaser trailer will be attached to Final Destination 2 on the 31st!!!! Guess I'll never see it then... and I too admit to still being skeptical, if for no other reason because I was excited by the rumors for 9 years and followed through all the fake scripts and whatnot, only to now be disappointed by the final results. Seems New Line is only giving me more reasons to hate their sorry guts.

I WILL wait outside the theater for this one. My friend does it for Star Wars, I'll do it for Jason. I would too. The thing is, this movie looks like it's 100% a Freddy movie. And I'm not talking about Kane Hodder not being there. Just from everything I've seen it looks like it's just another Elm Street movie with Jason popping up in a supporting role. I can see why New Line would do that, Freddy is there boy and all, but I'd rather see Jason just whip Freddy's ass.

It actually looks kinda small in the picture to me. The TV is 65 inches and then you got that thing going all the way over the top of it so it's almost to the ceiling. Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Nice TV. I had a 65" Sony before, but it died, and I didn't want another projection screen TV, so I got a 32" Toshiba. The next TV I will buy will probably be a widescreen, HDTV. They are expensive as hell, so I'm hoping my current TV will last a few more years. I also like that entertainment center. Those are a great idea for big screen TV's.
Guest eiker_ir Report post Posted January 30, 2003 Bloody-disgusting reports.... "Please don't pull a Jason X on us! Fangoria reports, "In addition, New Line has shifted FREDDY VS. JASON out of a planned summer berth and is now contemplating a fall release." This was also confirmed by our New Line contact who also swears that there is no Freddy vs Jason trailer attatched to Final Destination 2...3 days and we'll know for sure." i really don't care if they keep changing the release date i've been waiting for some years now, and a few more months don't bother me
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted January 30, 2003 I'm glad they're not attaching it to Final Destination 2, because then a ton of horror fans would go see some crappy sequel just for a trailer.
