Ok, since Thesmartmarks.com bought their own server over a ½ a year ago, we have always been looking for ways to give back to the website visitors and community it has grown into. Since we have our own server and only use a little of the total amount of bandwidth, which we are allotted, we are going to be offering a few people the opportunity to use part of our server (5 Gigs) and 100Gigs transfer. Bottom line, the hosting special we will be offering is best used or suited for the people who want or have a website which uses ALOT of transfer, such as downloads of movie clips or large files. WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANYTHING ILLEGAL TO BE HOSTED ON OUR SERVER, AND IF YOU DO, YOUR WILL BE WARNED & IF THE CONTENT IS NOT REMOVED WITHIN 24 HOURS, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE IMEDIATELY TERMINATED! Our server is running @ approx 50-80% usage currently CPU wise, this plan is not geared towards large busy thinking websites, but more for file distribution or mirroring. Our server is connected directly to a 100Mb switch which is on a Gigabit circuit to the internet, so your download speeds can jump to 100Mb, if you had that much traffic.

SOMETHING.thesmartmarks.com (change that something to what you want)

5 Gigs of hard disk space storage

100 Gigs of transfer

my_sql database, along w/ PHP, CGI, SSI, and FrontPage extensions

Freely installed forums, similar to what we use here

Anonymous FTP if you want that as well.

All for a total price of $50 a month w/ $0 setup fee!

Like i said, for people wanting to mirror files and such movie files and such is fine. What I am calling as ILLEGAL content is ONLY things such as the following:

Warez

Cracks

Software(stolen, cracked, or copied)

Games(that are meant to be bought)

 

Besides that, you can do whatever else you want to with your space.

If your hosting a site w/ movie clips which you make, record or anything else, thats fine w/ us. Now things like, making a movie site, where you have the latest movies to download may bring up some conflictions.
