You know what the WWE will do in regards to Jericho and HBK at the Royal Rumble?

Well HBK enters at 1 and Y2J enters at 2. If Jericho ends up winning this thing I bet you 10 bucks they say

"Jericho did it! But it's still not as impressive as HBK in 1995 entering at #1 and winning!"

1st and 2nd are the same thing but b/c Jericho didn't have the actual #1 it will somehow be less extrordinary to the WWE.

Do you really think there will be any ending other than Michaels eliminating Jericho? The whole thing seems setup to put over Michaels. Michaels will eliminate Jericho and then Jericho will cheat and cause Michaels to lose - destroying his dream.

 

Jericho got bitched out by Bischoff and then dismissed by Vince McMahon. And after winning the match, he gets beat up by Michaels and disappears so Michaels can pose. What a push.

 

J.R. ended the show screaming about how Michaels might win the Rumble again and go to Mania again. Jericho just got ignored as usual.

If Jericho does win the Rumble...which I doubt anyway...it wont really matter too much since the announcers will downplay it and the writers continue to make Jericho look like an asspuppet. And if he wins, its doubtful hed end up at Mania anyway...hed prolly lose the shot at NWO.

 

Ether way, Jerichos buildup continues to be an unfunny joke, and the wwe likes the idea of keeping the unover bums on top. Oh well

After watching the end of RAW I'm almost certain that Jericho will be eliminated by Shawn if he doesn't win. Just so they can say "Hey look he wasn't a big star! He's not good!"

If you ask me, it's all a plot to get Jericho over as a face in the end. Perhaps a big mutual respect thing, after Jericho proves himself to HBK? Eh? EH??

Whatever they do, it better NOT be the spot where HBK is thrown over the top but doesn't have "both feet" hit, or ANYTHING of that nature where Jericho takes his eyes off of him and then gets eliminated. HBK has outlasted his welcome and he needs to go, but before he does, he NEEDS to put over some talent. The Royal Rumble is an oppurtunity but if WWE follows recent trends, it WON'T happen.

Your all forgetting a SD guy could win this. I'll tell you my prediction is that if Brock makes it in the Rumble, you can forget HBK and Y2J, Lesnar is going over. It'll help the Angle/Lesnar matchup.

That's true. But there were no former Kliq members involved in those matches.

 

Besides, everyone used that argument for RVD winning the Elimination Chamber and we all know how that worked out.

 

This is Shawn Michaels we're talking about here. He can talk about finding religion until Triple H finishes cutting a promo. I'll believe him agreeing to put over Jericho (or any younger talent for that matter) when I see it.

The way I figure, Jericho and Lesnar will be the last two men in the ring, and HBK (eliminated) will cause Jericho to be eliminated. Lesnar wins the Rumble and gets his title shot at Wrestlemania. Jericho will complain to Bischoff that he was robbed and will get a match at No Way Out vs HBK, winner gets a title shot at Wrestlemania..with a neat little stipulation: its a 30 minute Iron Man Match (an hour would be too long..)..

 

Of course, this is too logical..so it won't happen..

So it seems pretty much everybody has narrowed down the list of possible Rumble winners to HBK, Jericho, and Brock (not necessarily in that order).

 

I agree with this but I see a few holes, like, if HBK wins (either the Rumble or the Mania spot at NWO) he goes to Mania to face HHH (for the third time) for the Title? Another HBK Title run or another WM win by HHH? As much as I'm a HBK die-hard fan I don't want to see him Champ again in his current condition.

 

If Jericho wins (either the Rumble or the Mania spot at NWO) he goes to face HHH at Mania? Again?? It didn't work last year, would people care for it this year? And it'd be heel vs. heel.

 

Brock winning would mean he'd face Angle for sure but I'd prefer he lose and make a more interesting Title chase scenario. Slow buildup works for me. He's the most logical choice, it seems to me still.

 

If you ask me there hasn't been three strong possible Rumble winners in quite some time. Previous years have been very easy to predict (Austin, Rock, HHH) with two contenders at the most.

 

And hey, I like Marvinsalunatic's scenario nonetheless. Let's see if it happens.

If we DO get the Unpredicatable winner, IT HAS to come from Raw, If Steiner wins, then Only Jericho is a viable heel to combat with him, If H3 wins, then it's limited to 3, HBK, RVD and Kane (not Booker).

 

Smackdown is only with brock, Here's my peeve shouldn't Heyman make this match a Lesnar wins, he must be be #3 or TBS win, he gets #30?

 

Here hoping that Heyman and Haas/Benjamin recreate The Dibiase Twin towers segment with Cena and B2. (or Eddy/Chavo to kickstart their thing).

The Big Show will win, setting up Angle vs Show; Heyman's guys versus each other.

 

Thus the "epic" triumph will be Brock somehow finding a way to work his way into a now three way affair (probably sponsored by Steph or Linda McMahon).

 

Meanwhile, "dissention" buids in the heel camp, conveyed expertly by Big Show's massive quantities of acting talent. Angle displays hyper paranoia; this in conjuction with his bald look will complete the transformation into a knockoff of You Know Who; Vince McMahon's brilliant proof that he and his promotion "never needed" that guy.

 

Soon Angle and Big Show are at each other's throats and all Heyman's master plans to "get Brock" go up in flames, and they turn on each other, allowing Brock Lesnar to F5 them both in succession at Wrestlemania 19 and win the world title.

 

Angle and Big Show go on to feud [yawn] for a month but reunite in a "shocking swerve" to screw Brock Lesnar over in his big "reunification" match against Triple H (Yes he'll still be Raw World Champion) in April or May.

 

Yeah, I'm not inspired to tune in either.

I think a good indicator of what goes down in the Rumble will be in the Steiner v. HHH match. If Steiner goes over then Jericho will probably win the Rumble.

 

I don't think Brock is in a position where he needs to Rumble. They are already building a Brock - Angle feud so it would be perfectly logical for Angle to come down and help Brock get eliminated somehow and set up there match. The Raw side has no angle right now setting up for the title at 'Mania. It will be either HBK or Y2J IMO.

 

It would be worth the money of the ppv, to see Brock rip HBK's head off with a clothesline.
