Guest GroundZeroSplash Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 I recently got this tape called Wildside Rarities that had a promo with The Lost Boys with Jeff G. Bailey that looked to have been done for CZW Fake You TV, and I was curious if anyone knew if it had ever aired. It is in a graveyard and it starts on a fresh grave before moving forward to the Lost Boys bleeding crouched in front of a tombstone holding candles while Bailey stands behind the tombstone. It consists of Bailey talking about the LB's being social outcasts who had been bullied and picked on their whole lives and how the H8 Club were "jock asshole bullies" and how the LB's were going to follow the Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold method of handling bullies by committing murder. Great Promo, but the even cooler part is when the LB's pull back you can see how they have written H8 Club in their own blood on the tombstone before putting out their candles by smearing them all over the bloody tombstone. Anyway my question is, does anyone recall seeing this air on Fake You TV ? Thanks
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 That sounds around the time around UFOE (Ultraviolent Freedom of Expression.) I've seen most, I don't believe all, but I believe I've seen most of the Fake You shows at that time period. I don't believe that aired, and by your description, I can see why.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 Got confirmation from Melanie, the woman who put the Rarities tape together, that it never aired on CZW TV. (She's hooking me up with some cheap Wildside tapes to review, expect those to start in the next couple of months).
Guest GroundZeroSplash Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 Yeah, I bought that tape from Melanie, she has the most amazing collection of Wildside stuff I've ever seen. The reason I was asking about that promo airing is someone told me it aired and got CZW kicked off of TV in Richmond Va. As far as more graphic promos airing on Wildside TV, you must not have seen this one as I can't think of anything that I've seen that is as visually disturbing as this one. Which ones do you think were this graphic, out of curiousity? The ones at Wayne Williams (Atlanta Child Murderer) dump sites and the one where Bailey reads from the book Total Abuse are pretty powerful, as nobody comes close to Bailey when it comes to disturbing promos. There is also supposedly one that was done outside the Tri State Crematorium (Place where 100s of corpses were dumped in the woods instead of being burned) that never got aired.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 No; CZW got "kicked off" because Wildside agreed to censor Slim J's crotch-grabbing, which was what got Wildside booted in Virginia (it's bs, I know). As for graphic, that one must be damn graphic if it's more graphic than some of the stuff that's aired on Wildside. I actually got a tape of the episode w/ Bailey reading Total Abuse. The tape was totally ruined besides that promo and a short match (which I cannot remember for the life of me at this time). That promo RULED. I heard from a few people that the promo he did at the Chattahoochee River (never heard if it was actually filmed there or if they just put up a sign that said "Chattahoochee River" on it) was really, really graphic. I also saw a couple of disturbing Lost Boys "promos" (they didn't say anything, but they were used as promos). One was from CZW, I believe, as, if I remember correctly, Gabriel cut his arm with a knife or a blade on camera. There was another where they were spelling out some phrase on a wall in their "own blood" (it was during the face vs. face T-N-T/LB's feud).
Guest GroundZeroSplash Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 The CZW promo in question is Azrael cutting his arm, that is pretty graphic, the other one with the blood on the wall spells out TnT. Those are pretty twisted but the one in the cematary goes way further. Picture H8 Club smeared in blood on a tombstone as Bailey rants about splattering brain matter on a wall with a crowbar. The Chattahootche river one is done at the bridge underneath the sign itself with cars whizzing by and the river in the background. I think it is the same bridge where Williams disposed of bodies at. It's pretty graphic, but the graveyard is hard to beat. There is also another one done where the first body was found in the woods in S.West Atlanta as Bailey says the address of the location. It includes a hilarious part where Bailey picks up some leaves and dirt off the ground and talks about the smell of death still being in the air. Also on one of the Best of Wildsides I have, there is a great "promo" with the Lost Boys getting jumped and beaten in the graveyard by Blackout.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 That's some graphic stuff, man. I'm going to have to get myself a tape of that (after I get Heatstroke, Best of Slim J, & the Anniversary Show, that is). I do remember the Blackout-LB's promo in the graveyard, too. Really good stuff. I just can't wait until Iceberg goes to Philly with Bailey. Those two are so amazing together, and the amount of violence in their promos is probably more graphic than a lot of matches.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 Forget what I posted here.
