Tully316 Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 I was wondering if anybody would be up for a little fantasy booking contest? We could get a set number of players, hold a fantasy draft, and edit our promotions to see who can book the best program? We could do a month per week for a 12 week period and see who has the most success (public image, money, feuds, etc.) What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 How would we draft the workers? What workers would we draft (unsigned)? Would we start our own feds? What difficulty? WHERE'S MY MORDELLO & CHEESE SUB?!
Tully316 Posted January 15, 2003 Author Report Posted January 15, 2003 I was thinking we could start our own feds, maybe at 75% cult status or really low national, couple a million dollars, maybe be allowed to take 10 or 15 guys from other feds and have to sign all the rest as free agents. Probably on hard setting as well.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 What about this: Start off at a high Regional level (anywhere from 75%-89% IMO). Start off empty handed, no workers, no staff, no TV deal. You can only sign free agents, or those who are released/fired/walk out on promotions at first, but once you hit Cult status, etc., stealing is OK (even though it will still be tough at that point). Start off with about $3 million to begin with. Play on hard setting. As you can see, I'd probably be doing it along with you guys.
Tully316 Posted January 15, 2003 Author Report Posted January 15, 2003 Cool ideas Zack, I've done something like that before, what does everyone else think?
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 I'm in. Hollywood Wrestling Federation owns you.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 If this ever actually happens I'm down. Boy, Nationstates got lame fast, huh?
Guest Scotsman Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Yeah I'd be in it sounds like fun. I'd like a bit more information on it though. What other promotions are going to be in the game, for one. How many people do you want to sign up overall?
Guest Zack Malibu Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 I would assume we'd be keeping all existing feds, and just creating our own from scratch. As far as hiring, for Regional promotions (which is the point that we'd start at, if I'm not mistaken), I think between 25-30 guys is sufficient (24/25 I think is the minimum you need, and if you pass 30 they bitch about having too many on the roster.)
Tully316 Posted January 16, 2003 Author Report Posted January 16, 2003 All right....here's my idea (stealing from Zack Malibu's idea ) We each create a new promotion in File Editor with the following conditions: Regional Level 75% Public Opinion $3,000,000 Hard Setting Business heading into a boom period (restart game if heading into bust) No TV Deal No Workers No Staff Cannot edit any worker's details We can do three months each week, basically one year a month We can start January 27th and post a status every Sunday or Monday You can create as many titles as you want, and whatever type you want. How does that sound? any suggested changes or differing opinions?
Guest Zack Malibu Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 How about a max of 4 singles titles (say World, Cruiser, TV and Hardcore or something...) and 2 tag (if you want to do Cruiserweight Tag or so...). Otherwise, it'd look like WCW towards the end, with World/US/TV/Cruiser/Hardcore/Tag/Crusier Tag/Womens...
Tully316 Posted January 16, 2003 Author Report Posted January 16, 2003 Title limits are ok. I figured the problem of too many titles would solve itself due to the new image rating of titles and how that could be affected by being on the wrong people or defended too much, etc. Title limits are cool, I'd go with 3 single and 2 tag.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Cool with me. 27th is the perfect start date too. That's when most of my friends and my girlfriend head back to school, and I'm stuck with nothing to do
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Looks like I'm out, since I don't have 2.0 yet. Alas, no .zip drive, so unless somebody can give me an .exe file of it, I'm out.
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 And yet, I am totally in. Totally Awesome Wrestling Club = Better Than Yours.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 OK, so we've got Myself Tully316 VanSiclen CoreyLaz (hopefully someone can hook him up) HollywoodSpike Raptor JAxlMorrison Scotsman Smell The Ratings should we get one more person to make it an even 10, or are we good to go. Is the plan to still start on the 27th (next Monday)?
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 What about Production, Risk, Merchandising and Advertising? We going to have a Developmental Territory or Training Camp?
Guest Zack Malibu Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 Risk-70% Production-we're starting with Regional, so I'd say 40% (though we'll most likely be told to improve values often) Merchandising/Advertising-not sure yet No camp or Development yet, since we start off as Regional. I'd figure we shouldn't open either until we reach high cult level... What do you figure for the merch/advertising?
Guest raptor Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 perhaps 30% for both. That seems decent, and if we want to use our own money to increase, then we can.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 SOMEBODY HOOK ME UP~! LAZ WANT IN~!
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 C'mon...somebody must have a link for an .exe file of the EWR 2.0... One minor question about EWR 2.0: Can you play your saved games from EWR in EWR 2.0, or do you need to start new games again?
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Damn, next Monday? I thought we were starting today! Oh well, lol.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Yep, next Monday JAxl. 2 things: 1)I posted at SmarkTalk, in case some of those guys didn't see it here, that we were doing this contest. Hopefully a few of them will be interested. 2)Can SOMEONE please hook Corey up? I'm unable to, but I know he wants in, so any help for him is appreciated.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Yeah, listen to Zack, you bitches. HOOK ME UP~!
Guest raptor Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Should we use a stat update? I know RaveX has a new one out. http://ravexgames.vze.com/
Guest raptor Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 I used all the specs for a test run, and cannot sign anybody. The worst wrestlers, the worst staff, all refuse to negotiate. I have sponsors, so what am I doing wrong?
Guest El Satanico Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I'll do this contest We should make a rule for how soon we can try getting a TV deal. We should all have to wait until a certian time before trying to get a TV deal. I'd say two months. I don't know what's wrong with yours raptor. Mine had no problems signing staff and workers. You can only get 60 max talent for staff. The highest rated worker i got was 75 for Mike Sanders.
