Former WCW Champion, Sid Vicious is the new Commissioner of the WWA. He will replace Bret Hart.

 

Apparently, Keiji Muto has been in talks with Shane McMahon about re-igniting the Great Muta gimmick in the WWF.

If/when the split goes ahead, Muta might be a good addition to the Smackdown team. Although in his last WCW matches he didn't look so good.

Whilst Mutoh currently rules, it would be kinda sad to see him doing the shining wizard to crash on heat and the like. I don't really like the idea of seeing him in the wwf.

Didn't Muto shave all of his hair off a while ago? A bald Great Muta is going to look weird. Well, weirder than normal. I don't see what the point would be in bringing him in, as it'll be a short time thing at the most.

I'm sure Sid will be able to remember the name of the WWA and not turn every promo into a rant about his dead brother and how Vince McMahon is the devil before losing his train of thought.

 

Oh, he'll still lose his train of thought, but he won't turn it into a whiny, self-obsessed, taking-himself-too seriously, "please-don't-forget-me" rant about how the wrestling business sucks without him and how he beat all the WWF stars.

I'm sure if Shane McMahon got the book of a second division, Mutoh and the cruiserweights would be treated fine. Until Shane has more control, or a wrestling oriented writer (Heyman), Mutoh will not be doing much of anything.

What exactly are Shane McMahon's booking philosophies anyway? You hear lots of rumours swirling around, but I'm not really sure how accurate they are. Is he a big fan of cruiserweights? Is he into Japanese wrestling at all? I know he was on the Asia tour, but that doesn't say much.

Supposedly Shane's a bigger fan of the athletics and somehow got into the cruiserweights (can't remember the specifics of the story), but  he's really not part of the bookin team at the current time.

Muta in the WWF would be a bad thing, it would only tarnish his image in american fans eyes, since the last time he was seen this side of the pond was with the ICP and Vampiro.

 

I can see WWF making Muto do a stupid Japanese circus mime act and spaying mist on announcers with cheap shirts and sunglasses on.

Shane was supposed to be running the WCW operations, so it is conceivable he will have a part booking one promotion after "the split".

i would be interested in seeing the great muta back in action stateside if he was handled right. i have fond memories of him when he was with nwa/wcw back in the late 80's early 90's ( i remember him doing an awesome top rope ddt that just had me flipping out on some ppv, but i could be wrong) i remember he wwas used pretty crappy when they debuted him in the nwo but i was excited as hell when i first saw him, didnt see him much at all the last time he was in wcw maybe once or twice because that was when i had to work on mondays and quit watching

Muta would get over and get buried like Tajiri.  I would guess that Shane is a fan of spot fest cruiser weight style matches because that's how he works his own matches.
