Who best Represents Wrestling...

After Show's terrific performance on Conan last night. What wrestler does the best job when he's on a talk show? Show is good, Foley is good, Rock is good (although he seems like a phoney).

I guess you can say The Rock. Also, Vince. I just heard a tape of him when he was on Stern, right when the XFL, came out. It was good.

I agree with the ones you've mentioned. I've listened to Hunter do some shows like Best Damn Sports Show, Period! and the early morning SportingNews Radio show and thought he did a pretty good job, but he talked a bit too much about bodybuilding instead of the PPV(No Mercy on both accounts).

 

Also, Austin's not too bad in what I've seen him do(basically Live with Regis and Kathy Lee).

The Rock always comes off as very well spoken and he makes wrestling look better with his humble tone

I remember Austin going on Live to promote Summerslam 98. He started off and said that he was facing Taker at the PPV. Regis immediately follows up with something along the lines of "Ooh, Undertaker, he's good. And you also have to watch out for that sneaky Paul Bearer running around with him." Awkward silence followed.

Austin was good on Conan O'Brien as well.

 

Rock obviously is the biggest star as of right now, so he's a good representation.

 

Hogan as well...Foley and Show seem like down to earth people.

I think the Regis I caught with Austin was the pre-WM 14 one against HBK. It was pretty damn good and from the sounds of it, a LOT better than the pre-SummerSlam 98 one.

Didn't Regis used to take a safe version of the moves on the show from a lot of wrestlers? For a fucking 70 year old, I always thought that was impressive.

I think it's safe to say that anyone on Live ends up being really good, because Regis does have a lot of "cred" and he really does try to make them look good.

Can't argue that, AS. I think Conan is the same way. His bit with Big Show was great as he didn't babble like an idiot and just played off of Show.

It was hilarious...and Selleck and Show have REALLY good chemistry...I'd love to see WWE try do get Selleck to show up for a show or something..hell, have him wrestle with Show or something.

After seeing Edge on Confidential doing some appearances for the WM X9 in Seattle, he seems like he'd do a good job talking for the company.

 

Angle is also a good choice...he was on Conan a while back and seemed very intelligent.

Almost all the wrestlers look good on Conan and Regis since they are somewhat knowledable about wrestling.

 

Hogan, Austin, Rock, Show, H3, Angle, Foley, and to an extent, Lesnar have been great representations.

Andy Richter is a big wrestling fan so I think he used to Conan in about the wrestlers so Conan would know what he was talking about

Yeah, you can tell that he watches or at least researches about the wrestlers.

 

The Best Damn Show is the best since Kruk, Arnold and Farr are huge fans and often do Wrestling related segments. When they interview Goldberg, Austin, Savage, HHH, Rock, Angle and the others...they seem like old time marks.

Rock is different from the Shows and HHH's and Austins...Rock is trying to look cookie cutter for his hollywood friends and not look like a wrestler but moreso a Actor who does Wrestling as a side project.
