It's not bad; I mean, it's a Gigabyte motherboard and so it performs admirably, but it COULD be so much better. I'd recommend installing DirectX 9, then going to Intel.com and downloading and installing the latest drivers for your on-board adapter. Before I got my new card I had Intel 82810 onboard graphics and the drivers helped tremendously.

My Custom Spec Desktop AMD Athlon XP 1800 512MB DDR 80GB 7200RPM hard drive (need a big fast HD for audio recording ) 16x generic DVD drive (no firmware protection; DVD Genie makes it region free. w00t! ) 48x16x40 CD-RW Windows XP Home w/ SP1 GeForce 4 Ti4200 with 128MB video RAM Soundblaster Audigy (not a bad soundcard, but I'd love a decent audio I/F with "1/4 and XLR inputs. Having Firewire might be handy though.) 17" CRT monitor Cost me £1000, but I sold my digital 8-track and my old PC to go towards it. My Compaq Armada Laptop PII 233 160MB RAM 10GB HD Win98 Built-in sound Internal CD + floppy drives (handy - no swapping ) Got it on Tuesday for £300. Not bad. Neil
