Guest Steviekick Report post Posted January 18, 2003 I'm turning to my smark friends for help with this one. Can anyone give me a good definition of modern rock?
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted January 19, 2003 Modern rock is rock music of the modern variety. It's basically an all-encompassing term used to describe any rock music currently being produced, as opposed to classic rock. From what I can gather, it has a lot to do with long hair, deep voices, buzzsaw guitars, and overproduction.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted January 19, 2003 Modern rock is, like Kinetic said, any style of music derived from rock n' roll that is being recorded NOW.
