Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Well the third round of the NFL playoffs is upon us. NFC Championship: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers AFC Championship: Oakland Raiders vs. Tennesee Titans Philly/Oakland for the Super Bowl. Philly's had Tampa's number earlier this year and it wasn't even that cold. Plus, this is the last game that will ever be played in Veterans Stadium, can you imagine the crowd noise? It will be fucking insane. The Titans can't beat Oakland. I think Oakland is just worlds better than any other AFC team this year and they proved it by crushing the Jets.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I forgot to PM my picks to Bravesfan. So much for cracking the top ten before the end of the season.
Guest bravesfan Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Picks are posted in the pinned thread.
Guest CanadianChris Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Not looking good for the Eagles. They aren't going to be able to put up 13 points in the 4th against this defence.
Guest Eagan469 Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Chucky Bowl I is looking like a reality right now...
Rob E Dangerously Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 X Go Bucs! I can hope they squish the Raiders next week
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 You could just feel that pick on that play. Philly didn't deserve to win today, from what I saw. Next week will be really interesting if the Raiders can pull out a win.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Well that is a fitting end for an awful Stadium.
Guest alkeiper Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Well that is a fitting end for an awful Stadium. Not quite. There's still a season of Phillies baseball before demolition.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 oh...well then...those poor Phillies
Guest Flyboy Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I love when the underdog wins. (Unless it's against the Saints)
Guest El Satanico Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 But the Titans haven't won yet... There were no true underdogs in the Tampa/Philly game.
Guest Kinetic Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Well, well, well. That's all I have to say. Well, well, well, Buc-hating motherfuckers. We're going to the Super Bowl!!! Fuck you, Philly!!! Whoooo!!!
Guest The Old Me Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Well that is a fitting end for an awful Stadium. EASY, EASY!! *Remembers he's partial to the First Union Arena and doesn't give a fuck about Veterans Stadium.* Oh wait, nevermind.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 I'd surely hope that you wouldn't defend Veterens Stadium.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Well Raiders/Titans looks like it's going to be a "fuck it we don't need to play defense" type of game
Guest Flyboy Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 There were no true underdogs in the Tampa/Philly game. Bull-fucking-shit.
Guest HungryJack Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 HA. well done ,Smart Marks prognosticators. Always hating on the Bucs....
Guest Flyboy Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Yeah. Byron, Tom, AND Peter all picked the Eagles... all I have to say is... FUCK YOU!
Guest Flyboy Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Turnovers makes you lose, gentleman. EDIT: Those Raider fans. Just dropped the F-Bomb on CBS.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Why are both games suppose to take up one thread? That makes little to no sense
Guest Flyboy Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Because it would be dumb for two threads for different games if the games take place at different times.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Because it would be dumb for two threads for different games if the games take place at different times. I'm going to make "The One And Only Superbowl/Stanley Cup Finals" thread then
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Was it just me, or did anyone else hear The Philly crowd yell "You fucked up!" at Keyshawn Johnson after he dropped a pass late 1st quarter/early 2nd?
Guest El Satanico Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 How would creating one thread for two different sports be ANYTHING like creating one thread for the different playoff games from the same sport? This is simply a one and only thread for the current playoff week. What would be the point of creating seperate threads for each game. Besides most football fans care about all of the playoff games and they want to discuss all of them. But really what's the big fucking deal?
Guest Sassquatch Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 The Raiders won. All is right with the world. w00t~!
