Guest Grenouille Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I've finally decided that I want to get rid of any VHS remnants (about 500) I have left, so obviously getting them onto DVD would be the best strategy before dumping them on ebay. I've been looking into this and have a few questions for people that have been doing this for a while. 1) What would recommend for capturing and authoring tools? I've looked into the Dazzle DVD Creation Station 200 package, which seems to be the deepest, but I'd like to hear about other options in this area. 2) Honestly, which format will probably be the winner of the DVD-R, RW, RAM etc. battle? This reminds me lots of the old VHS-Beta debate which just led to companies losing money. 3) What burners would you recommend? I'm trying to stay within the $350-$500 range, but some of the higher end models I see go for about $600-$700. 4) With authoring software, can you import pictures and music of your own for the background stuff?
