Triple H and the......

Since, Orton and Batista aren't over at all, and Flair is retired from the ring pretty much. Something leads me to believe this angle is just more of an excuse to keep Triple H the champion for a longer time. Why Triple needs to be a part of the horseman angle is beyond me, besides of course his ego and selfishness. Basically we will see Triple H doing promos all night long with the other 3 in the backround just staring aimlessly. We already heard Ric Flair was told to "tone it down" due to being more over than Triple H......ugh, the horror continues.

HHH is the apocalypse....the other guys are the horseman. God help us all.

That lame beatdown summed up the night perfectly. Talk about starting an angle off with a whimper. Everyone sat there in silence while J.R.'s trying to sell it as some horrible action.

But it's probably a good think the Steiner/Batista match ended before any boring chants could start.

And did Batista actually do anything to earn a main event match?

He has genetically(chemically) enhanced muscles and he can yell a lot. So he's Ross's wet dream.

He's a hoss.

I think Orton could get over with his schtick if left alone, but as a yes man it won't work. He needs to be by himself and think he is the greatest wrestler ever in the WWE. He can't pump himself up one segment and then give HHH fellatio the next.

Anybody notice how the beatdown was all HHH on offense with the other two holding Steiner like jackasses?

I feel bad for Orton, who at least looks promising. Make him Flair's pet project or whatever you wanna call it, or have him be aligned with Jericho and Christian.

Fellas, where is everyone getting the horseman thing from? Has anyone actually said 4 horseman on WWE TV? Ahh, no.

Just because Flair is in it, doesn't make it the 4 horseman. Yes, I know the internet websites have stated that it will be the 4 Horseman, but there has been no acknowledgement of it.

Whatever, I like Batista, Orton and Flair, so I am down with it.

No where as good as Team Angle though.

Well the signature raising of the arms with all four men together at the end is a pretty good sign. Also, I am sure JR will want an explanation and then we will find out it was a "masterplan"

I am not a big Orton fan, but at least he was casually interesting on his own, now his gimmick will be killed off in favor of being one of the horsemen while Triple H remains the champ. Batista is big and "scary" so I guess he automatically gets a spot without paying dues. Ric Flair is old and dried up but is the last link to any real assemblence of the Horseman so there is his spot. And Triple H, well the writers are convinced that anything that will get the spotlight on Raw needs to be thrown Triple H's way...so there is his spot. Embarrasing.

Orton's involvement doesn't even seem rational...except the fact that Steiner beat up on him a little...

well...at least Orton didn't spill a protien drink on him or something...

Batista needs to disappear, pronto. I gave the guy a chance and he didn't show me anything. Hopefully Nathan Jones will prove to be a better Hoss.... and even though I am anti-hoss...I'll give Jones a chance just like the rest

What? How does that make it a sign for them being the 4 Horseman? Just because they are raised their hands together, doesn't make them the NEW 4 Horseman. If they gave the 4 fingers, then it would make them the new 4H.

Come on Mike, you know that doesn't make any sense. Having all of their hands raised makes them a stable, we know that. But it doesn't make them the 4 Horseman.

so 3H would be a part of 4H? and the other H is horseshit if I have to put up with this angle...

Orton could still be fine. It would be great if he acted like he thought he was the leader of the group or some such. He can still be his usual good heel character and mesh into the group, if they play their cards right.

Batista just sucks. Remember when everyone was clamoring for him to get the Brock push instead of Brock? Ugh.

HHH isn't nearly as bad as some people say...I think he could work a decent match up against the right person still. I guess politics will get in the way of anyone who can work challenging for the belt though, so we're stuck with negative star matches for Trips. Hooray.

I'm holding out some optimism here though...I like Orton, Batista isn't "turn off my tv" offensive (yet), and Flair and HHH could be ok in the right role. We'll see how it works out.

Yup, same here LaParka. ALWAYS look at the positives, not the negatives.

Yes, Triple-Juice can be good in a match, when it depends who he faces. That all depends on the man that is carrying HIM to a good match. No one on Raw can do it, so I don't see a good match coming out of him anytime soon.

Optimist: Orton will challenge for the leadership of the group ala Rocky challenging Farooq in the Nation of Domination and Triple H puts him over as a new star.

Pessimist: It's a D-X revival (although Flair in bright green speedos, crotch chopping and mimicking Xpac is a neat idea).

Here's my name for the new "Horsemen":

The Faux Horsemen

On a unrelated note, one person needs to join D-Lo and Teddy Long: Ahmed Johnson. That way we could call them "Long Brown Johnson".

Bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! You just made me do a double spittake with my birthday cake. Thanks.

As for the topic of this discussion, let's just say I'm thankful that I always have my PS2 hooked up to the telly every time I watch RAW, so that when I hear "Time to play the game..." I always know what to do.

This has bad idea written all over it.

There have been rumors on the net that Trips wanted to reform the Horseman with himself, Batista, Orton and Flair playing the JJ Dillon role. Looks like his wish has come true.

I am not fan of Batista or Trips. I do feel sorry for Orton. I think he could get over on his own.

He did get over on his own. You can kiss that goodbye though, as he'll be spending the next three or four months playing HHH's bootblack.

83% Orton is 183% better than Batista and HHH combined.
