IMPORTANT SJL ANNOUNCEMENT!

Recommended Posts

Guest Mr. Slim Citrus

Wow, what a ride this has been! I never thought I would even last this long, much less be called up. Thank you to everyone who PM'd me to congratulate me or told me in chat.

The SJL was a blast for me, and writing WC is still a work in progress. Thanks to all of the people I had the pleasure of writing with and against:

- IL/Tim Dillon: Thanks for giving me the rub that got this whole party started! I was really in a funk after my first month here, and I couldn't find my niche; if you hadn't helped put me over in the Pub Brawl and the Ladder Match as Tim, I may have never gained the confidence to elevate my character. And I think our "Cruiserweight Rules" match as IL was kind of my coming out party; that match really helped me to find my writing niche, and shape what kind of character I wanted WC to be.

- Spike: Damn! We were just getting started! I was really looking forward to working a World Title program with you. I think you've really found your niche, and I hope you continue on with the direction you've taken your character in.

- Fugue: Man, oue wrestlers have two distinctly contrasting styles, our finishers are natural counters to each other; I mean, that match could have practically written itself! Oh well, we may yet throw down...

- Dace: The High Priest of Horrorcore! You've got that whole fear factor thing going on, and it so f'n rules! You gave the WDN that edge that we needed to be seen as a threat to the M7, and you swing a mean weed-whacker to boot. I wish we had gotten the opportunity to work a 6-man before Judge got bumped, and I'm looking forward to you joining us on the big show so we can get the party started again.

- Johnny: Our characters really played well off each other; we're a natural as a tag team in a Rockers-style fashion. Plus, as long as I can ride your coattails, I can get away with not having any charisma... ;)

- Ejiro: What can I say? You spoiled me, man. It got to the point that I enjoyed working with you so much that I couldn't motivate myself to write with anybody else half the time. I think the SWF will be good for both of us, in giving us a little opportunity to branch out. Besides, there's bound to be another M7 member I can crush out here...

- King, Zed, Tod, TNT, Strangler: My schedule and operational commitments made it difficult for me to meet deadlines a lot, and I appreciate your patience and understanding when marking my matches, as well as for the feedback you guys would give me. King, I hope I didn't butcher your character too bad; I always pictured you as a Jesse Ventura-type on commentary. I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

To all the rest of you that I never got a chance to work with, I hope to get a chance to work with you on the big stage. I'll look in from time to time and holler.

-WC

It was a great feeling to think that I had improved enough to work the "SWF Style", which at the time was far more serious than the JL.

Yeah I know. In the WF I can no longer write spots where owls fly down from the rafters and put my opponent's foot on the ropes.

Dammit, who killed the child in the SWF!? :(
