Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted January 22, 2003 My bad to accidentally revealing a major smackdown spoiler. I did not mean to give it away, just from excitement i typed it up. I apologize again for the situation. WWE Royal Rumble 2003 - Opening Video with selective upper card wrestlers talking about the rumble being the Road to Wrestlemania. - Live From Boston, Massachuetts - Michael Cole & Tazz open up the show for Smackdown, and of course, Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler for Raw. - Opening Match: Winner Receives a Slot in the Royal Rumble Match Tonight: Brock Lesnar Vs. Big Show (w/ Paul Heyman): Hopefully like their Survivor Series match, this will be short and painless, something I can't say about the World Heavyweight Title Match from this show. Brock has gotten so popular with the crowd since being the formerly Undisputed Champion its scary. Of course, it took putting him over 3 huge superstars to do so (for those who don't know, its Hulk Hogan, The Rock, & The Undertaker). They lockup and Big Show obviously wins that. :"Lets go Lesnar" chant is defining and Big Show wins another tie-up. Brock puts the boots to Show in the corner and nails an over head belly to-belly suplex! He nails a second! Brock with a bear hug, but that's broken and Show choke slams him (kinda) over the top rope to the floor. Back in the ring and Brock is imitating Steiner before he knows he is. Show with some generic offense in the corner and throws him across the ring by the throat. Show misses a weak charge and Brock with a German suplex for two! Heyman trips up Brock and its big boot time by the Big Shows 15 5-E size shoe. Side Walk Slam connects and Show does his chokeslam thing that Rock loves making fun of. Chokeslam reversed with a takeover into a pinfall for two! ANOTHER Belly To Belly! (No wonder the crowd boo'd Steiner, we got 3 in this match already.) Heyman becomes a victim momentarily but Show makes the save and plants Brock with the show stopper.......for two! Brock reverses the Chokeslam and shoves Show into Heyman, then plants him with the F-5 for three at 6:27!!!! *1/2. Brock goes onto the rumble match, which isn't much of a surprise to me. - Terri Runnels interview Chris Jericho. He has a shirt on that says "Don't be an ASS clown". I'd buy it but really, is it worth the $25 + S&H just to wear it once and hang it up forever? LOL - WWE-Raw Tag Team Championship Match: Lance Storm & William Regal © Vs. The Dudley Boyz: Dudley Boyz theme song REALLY sucks and gets on my nerves 15 seconds after it starts playing. The Not So UN-Americans get told off by Jerry Lawler some more. Nick Patrick checks the champions just in case. Las Year Nick Patrick was ironically the referee for William Regals match at the 2002 Royal Rumble and DID find brass knux down his tights. Just a little history. According to J.R., The Champs were given cavity searches just in case they hid a foreign object where you wouldn't want to look. Bubba Ray starts with Storm and Lance quickly works three different arm-bars, which the final one is reversed. Bubba with a shoulder tackle and a Big Ol' Hip toss. J.R. said side headlock takeover for SOME reason. Bubba with some brawling and applies a modified ankle lock. D'von gets the tag and nails his diving spinning elbow which is a trademark of D'von Dudley. He nails Regal with a flying clothesline and drops him with a slam. Elbow drop gets two and goes back to the brawling. D'von misses a charge and a clothesline takes over for the champions. Modified overhead belly to belly suplex gets two by Regal and Lance Storm tags back in. Back elbow nails right in the face for two. Regal with some unorthodox combinations. Monkey flip by Regal (done weirdly) and Lance comes in with some chokes. Neck Vice applied by the Canadian crippler...whoops, wrong guy, my mistake. D'von breaks free but its only temporary as Storm applies a sleeper hold that puts him out of commission, until the crowd wakes him up from making noise. D'von wit a snapmare and Bubba cheap shots. Hot Tag is made and Bubba cleans house. BIG Back Body Drop on Storm and avalanches both men. Regal is sent packing and a side slam to Storm gets two! German Suplex gets two!! Regal in and gets tackled. Jive punches and the bionic elbow by Bubba followed by the Bubba Bomb for two again! Regal breaks the count and eats shoe. D'von tags and its WASSUP time!!! No Tables, but everyone thinks its coming, but they opt for a flapjack on Storm for two! Cheif of Staff Morley comes down and eats Fist from Bubba. 3-D to Regal before hand and D'von nails Storm with the knux for the win and the tag titles at 7:22! **1/4. Match wasn't too great but was good for the amount of time it got. Sadly, they did a Dusty booking the next night, having Regal & Storm taking out The Dudleyz, and winning the titles back seconds later thanks to the rematch made by Morley. - Interesting promo for the debut of Nathan Jones. He's a BIG TOUGH S.O.B Australlian who served 10 years in prison. - "Video Package" of the Dawn Marie/Torrie Wilson "feud". I'm not waisting my time with this. - (Fake) Step Mother Vs. (Fake) Step Daughter Match: Torrie Wilson Vs. Dawn Marie: This angle has become SUCH bullshit since the beggining of 2003. Usually bad Womens match so lets skip to the end. Torrie catches a 2nd rope clothesline from Dawn and gets stomped. Swinging neckbreaker ends it at 3:37. DUD Like you didn't know. Probably worse but I really dont like watching un-trained WWE divas wrestle on PPV. I Can understand Molly, Victoria or Trish in a PPV match but NOT these two. - Stephanie McMahon promoses a bombshell of her own on Smackdown! to counter with Eric Bischoff's announcement of Stone Cold....i mean, the shock that could shake up Raw. - Sean O'Haire vignette, this time he preaches about God, and how you shouldn't have to pray, nor go to church. If god is everywhere, why should we have to go? Church is only a way to judge you. If there IS a god, he'll forgive. He's only telling you what you already know. VERY INTERESTING. - Video Highlight of the Scott Steiner/HHH feud. This is almost as bad as Torrie/Dawn except with male wrestlers. - World Heavyweight Championship Match: Triple H © (w/ Ric Flair) Vs. "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner: Triple H comes out wearing Red, which I Believe is the FIRST Time since about 1999 he hasn't worn the black w/ logo ring tights for a match. Looks really weird on him too. Steiners tights have a big one painted like an American flag on the side, trying to get a cheap USA pop. I had my money on Triple H embarrassing Steiner in this match, but well, shit happens. They go Face to Chin and HHH throws the first punch, but Steiner takes control. HHH works him over and its no sold, so Steiner goes to town, please tell me he's not tired already. Brawling by Steiner and nothing more. Gorilla press Slam by Freakzilla isn't appreciated much. HHH bails and Steiner chases and nails a clothesline. More brawling. Suplex across the ring by Steiner gets 2 and he hammers the back. If I sound boring, its not intentional. It's just this match SUCKS. Boston Crab is applied and Steiner can't even Apply THAT right. HHH with the face buster and its no sold and we get the bear hug!!! Steiner catches HHH off the ropes and nails an over head belly to-belly Suplex for two. He goes for the recliner, but Flair pulls HHH out of the way and hides from Steiner afterwards. HHH with a big boot THANKFULLY puts down Steiner for a while. It sad the best they could do for instant replay was a friggin big boot. Steiner is sent into the STEEL steps and HHH catches some time to recover while Steiner sucks wind. Swinging neckbreaker gets TWO by Triple H. Default corner arsenal by HHH, and Flair chokes Steiner with his jacket. Steiner misses a clotheslines and gets dropped with the neckbreaker for two. I see people picking their nose's in the crowd while this match drags on. Flair cheats again and Steiner almost blew that spot too. Pedigree is reversed and HHH is slingshotten WEAKLY into the turnbuckle and we get another over head suplex. He's done. Tombstone is........reversed twice and HHH with a.......WEIRD neckbreaker for two. Even J. R. says it looked like a diamond cutter, except a bad one at that. Standing suplex by The Game and the crowd pops HIM! Or Flair, I can't tell. HHH off the top rope jumps into ANOTHER overhead suplex. Brawling continues and Steiner with a series of soft clotheslines and a back drop, followed by ANOTHER over head suplex, and ANOTHER!!! Jesus, mix it up a little man. The crowd is turning LoW II on him as he does a 6th. Crowd is HATING Steiner at this point and he makes HHH eat buckle and nails a belly to belly suplex to even more boos for two. Sadly this match goes on for 7 more minutes. Double under-hook Powerbomb is BOTCHED badly and gets two and the crowd boos more. HHH gets a FACE POP for elbowing Steiner and goes to the top, where he is greeted with a super-plex that gets two. HHH Runs and the crowd cheers...? Steiner chases and nails both HHH & Flair. Steiner makes HHH eat title belt except the leather part DOESN'T hurt and HHH blades anyway. Steiner throws HHH into random stuff and its the 7th Over head suplex and HHH gets cheered for running away. Steiner continues massacring HHH to jeers and does some push ups, but not his super ones. Punching continues and Steiner is just boring me. Flair is begging for a DQ or anything to stop the match. HHH throws Hebner outside the ring HOPING for a DQ by Hebner decides to continue the match. Belly to Belly Suplex #8 gets two and I am hating this match. Flair has a fit on the apron and Steiner gets a low blow by HHH and rolled up for a two count. HHH quickly grabs a sledge hammer, nails Steiner with it and the match is thrown out at 18:11, giving Steiner the cheap win. This is thankfully over. -*1/4 for a REALLY bad and BORING match. Crowd isn't liking anyone at this rate and boo's both men out of the building, Steiner more then HHH. Flair is getting a better reaction for his over selling and acting like a nut case. Steiner Recliner is applied to a knocked out HHH after a sledge hammer shot to the face. Lets NEVER speak of this match again. - Video Package of the Chris Benoit/Kurt Angle feud leading up to the WWE Title Match coming up next. - WWE-World Championship Match: Kurt Angle © (w/ Team Angle) Vs. Chris Benoit: Team Angle is thrown from ringside area before the match even begins, so it's gonna be one against one and not three on one. Benoit with a side headlock to start and quickly goes for a sharpshooter, but Angle slides outside. Benoit works the side headlock again and Angle gets nailed with a drop-kick. Sleeper hold by the champion is countered, as is boot to the midsection, and Benoit applies a grapevine submission lock. Angle posts Benoit ALREADY which should set up a crossface on HIM but no go I guess. Angle pounds away at the back and neck of the challenger followed by a snap suplex for two. Both men exchange chops and Benoit wins it because he's Canadian. Angle eats boot and runs into a knee lift for a two count. STIFF chops by Benoit and he whips Angle to the buckle ALA Bret Hart except no over sell. Angle with a reverse suplex drops Benoit across the top rope. Benoit hangs Angle across the rope and the exchange blows on the apron. DDT by Benoit sends angle face first into the apron on the outside! Back inside and the cover gets two again! Benoit goes to the third floor and misses the swan dive head-BUTT. Angle back up and the angle slam is reversed into the sharpshooter!! Pretty good version of it too, unlike The Rock & Austin's GHETTO versions we've seen as of late (last year). BACK Suplex by Benoit gets another two count. Angle catches an AWESOME belly to belly suplex sending Benoit clear across the ring, then throws him to the outside to catch a breather. Angle drops Benoit face first into the security gate and puts the boots to him. Short arm clothesline gets two for Angle. Snap-mare and sleeper hold with a body scissors to lock Benoit up in the middle of the ring. This is looking like a UFC match without the choking. Benoit is up and runs right into a belly to belly suplex. HUGE back suplex by Angle gets two! Sleeper Hold/Body scissors is worked in again but Benoit wont give in and slowly gets to his feet. Double Clothesline Spot with some extra ouch and both men are down and the crowd is actually counting the 10 count, which I haven't understood as of late. Benoit unloads with rights and scores a few running clotheslines and a back drop. German Suplex! a second German Suplex! Angle reveres with his own!! Benoit reverse his next attempt and scores HIS third one!!! Benoit calls for the end and goes up top....and Angle gets up and belly to belly suplex him off the top rope!!!! ONLY GETS TWO! Angle Slam is reversed and its the CROSSFACE!!!! Angle....slowly.......crawls to the ropes and the hold must be broken. ANKLE LOCK BY BENOIT!!! Its Reversed and ANGLE with the ANKLE LOCK!!!! Reversed again and into the CROSSFACE!!!!!!! Angle reverses AGAIN into a pinning combination for two, but Benoit back with the Crossface!!! Angle tries reversing but no go. Angle up and ANGLE SLAM! ANGLE SLAM! ANGLE SLAM! He Covers for.........TWO! BENOIT KICKED OUT OF THE ANGLE SLAM! Angle takes off the straps meaning business and its the Ankle Lock!! Reversal and Benoit with a victory roll for TWO!!!! GERMAN SUPLEX......ANGLE WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX.........BENOIT WITH THE EXTRA STRENGTH REVERSE GERMAN SUPLEX WITH ANGLES FLIP BUMP!!!!! WHAT A MATCH! Benoit goes up...and Angles all the way on the other end of the ring. DIVING HEAD BUTT CONNECTS 3/4 ACROSS THE RING!!! Benoit covers. 1...2....KICKOUT! Crossface is blocked and Angle with a fall backwards powerbomb and ANOTHER ANGLE SLAM! ITS OVER! 1.....2..........KICKOUT BY BENOIT!!!! Crippler Crossface by Benoit!!! Angle Reversal into the ANKLE LOCK!!! Benoit tries reversing but Angle holds on! Benoit goes again but Angle wont lay off!!! Angle with the grapevine ankle lock!!!!!!!!!!! Benoit FINALLY TAPS OUT AT 19:46!!!! AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! ***** WITHOUT A DOUBT! Team Angle come out to celebrate with the champion. Crowd gives Benoit a standing ovation once he finally gets to his feet. Benoit gave it his ALL tonight and made Angle look like Gold...like he need the help to begin with. Benoit & Angle put on a BRUTAL yet VERY Scientific based match with NO cheating, no outside interference, and No ref bumps! This is already a match of the year in my book. - Kane & RVD Spoil my fun with another D-Level promo. - 30 Man Royal Rumble Match: (Winner Gets a Shot at his brands World Title): I predicted before Heat that they would change the intervals to 90 seconds.....and I was right. Woohooo. As we all know, #1 is Shawn Michaels, and #2 Is......Chris....tian?!! Christian is dressed like Jericho and the REAL Y2J sneaks in form behind and low blows HBK right off the bat. Jericho pounces on Shawn and targets hitting his face. Jericho gets a chair and creams HBK with it (complete with over sell) and we got a blade job already in the royal rumble match. Jack Doan gets in Jerichos face about the chair shot. Jericho kicks away at HBK and laughs at him. #3 is Chris Nowinski to.........a LOUD POP. HUH?! HE decides to let Jericho do his thing and waits outside. Jericho does his show off boxing dance and knocks HBK down a lot. Jericho tosses Michaels easily at 2:31. NO ONE SAW THAT COMING. I predicted HBK/Y2J being in until the end. #4 is Rey Mysterio and Nowinski still isn't in the ring. Rey off the 2nd rope with a drop-kick and a reverse hurricanrana. Face buster by Rey but Jericho clobbers him. Press Slam by Jericho is blocked but Rey eats boot an is ALMOST tossed over but he hangs onto the post. Missile drop-kick nails Jericho and Nowinski FINALLY enters, kicking at Rey. #5 is Edge and he gets a double clothesline in on the 2 Raw superstars. SPEAR TO EVERYONE and Rey with a Rey-canrana off the top rope. Jericho gets posted himself and Nowinski is outside as well. Edge & Rey double cheap shot each other and misses their respective moves (Spear; 619). Edge pushes Rey over the top but Rey is hooked to him, taking him with him, but neither are gone, since Edge only had ONE foot touch. West Coast Pop blocked with a sit down powerbomb by Edge. #6 is Christian...and he TRIES reuniting with EDGE. What a sneaky bastard. Christian charges Rey but misses and Edge spears him to show he isn't on his side. Edge puts a stomping to him and Nowinski almost double dumps Rey & edge but both hang on. Double missile drop-kick misses BAD as Edge lands on Nowinski's FACE, causing a nasty bruise the next night. Bronco Buster to Nowinski by Rey. #7 is Chavo Guerrero and he and Rey have a nice little cruiserweight match going on. Rey gets the 619 and West Coast Pop on Chavo, and then does the 619 to Christian. Hurricanrana eliminated Nowinski by Rey, and Jericho casually tosses Rey Jr. soon after. Chavo hammers on Edge in the corner and chokes on him, but Jericho wants some and attacks both guys. #8 is Tajiri, and we got more Cruiserweight action to come. He kicks the shit out of Chris Jericho & Christian, then gets in a modified air plane spin maneuver. Christian attacks Tajiri and tries tossing him to no go. I just realize we have 3 Canadians, a Mexican and a Japanese wrestler in the ring. #9 is Bill Demott so we finally got an American white boy. He pounds on everyone because he's mean. He pounds Jericho a bit and tries tossing hi mto no avail. Demott chokes Edge in the ropes and Jericho cops at Tajunior. #10 is Tommy Dreamer who gets a nice ECW chant going, along with some weapons. He canes everyone and busts Jericho open with a shot to the face. Edge gets himself a cane and he & Dreamer cane Demott over the top rope. Jericho & Christian mean while give Dreamer a con-chair-to with trash can lids and dump him sadly. Tajiri with a springboard elbow to both Christian & Chavo. Tajiri DUMBLY goes for the tarantula and is casually pushed to the floor. #11 is B-2 and he hammers everyone. Edge tosses him soon after though. Well, that was an easy days work I guess. Chavo is tossed on the apron and speared off by Edge. Edge tries tossing Jericho, but he holds on, and Jericho dumps BOTH E&C while they tussle in the ropes. Jericho is by himself in the ring! #12 is Rob Van Dam and doesn't get that great of a reaction. RVD hammers away on Jericho and scores a crescent kick. RVD with a reverse elbow and missile drop-kick, followed by a spinning leg drop. Rolling Thunder connects! Jericho brawls back and chops at RVD. Sling Shot doesn't work and Jericho BARELY hangs on. #13 is Matt Hardy! Fun Fact: Matt STRONGLY Dislikes Mustard. Version 1 has Shannon Moore with him. Matt gets beat on a bit until he nails the sweat neck breaker he does that is hard to describe. Matt & Jericho double team RVD for a bit. RVD fights off both men for a short time. Jericho with the bulldog puts down RVD and misses the lion sault. RVD with a spinning heel kick and the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! Matt tries tossing RVD but he hangs on. #14 is Eddie Guerrero and look at the talent in the ring NOW. Eddie attacks RVD since they had a little thing going. Eddie nails Matt as well. Monkey Flip by RVD connects on Eddie. Matt saves Eddie and Guerrero with a Frog Splash to RVD. Matt with the twist of fate to Eddie gets a nice pop. #15 is Jeff Hardy. Read Edge & Christian. Jeff attacks Matt to start and scores a flying clothesline and jawbreaker. Leg drop to the groin and Matt is tossed....but Moore keeps him in by supplying himself as leverage. Twist of fate by Jeff to Matt and he goes to the top....but Moore stands in the way and lays down on Matt. Hardy swanton bombs both men and this is just funny. Eddie with a drop-kick to Jeff. #16 is Rosie and he's the first dead weight of the match noticeably. He attacks RVD but eats boot in the corner. Shoulder-thrusts by RVD but the monkey flip is pushed off and Rosie with a spinning heel kick. Matt's almost gone again but he survives. Eddie works over Version 1. #17 is Test and Stacy gets a nice pop. The Testicle joke is getting dumb now. Test clotheslines all the heels and Matt eats a pump handle slam. Spinning heel kick by RVD to Eddie and Test ALMOST knocks out Jericho. Test chokes Version 1 with his foot and Jericho saves. #18 is John Cena. He raps the whole time meaning NOTHING happens in the ring. He does say "His styles like a swollen penis, you can't beat me" which is funny as hell. RVD attacks him and drags him in at the countdown mark. Jericho beats on Cena in the mean time. #19 is Charlie Haas, who J. R. calls a Hoss. Ha ha. He goes straight for Version 1 but Hardy won't go. Too Much dead wood in this match right now. Jeff Hardy goes to the top rope STUPIDLY and gets shoved off by RVD. See also, Tajiri. Eddie hurricanranas Jericho while RVD tries heaving Test. #20 is Rikishi, in his 9th royal rumble match, and he's currently 0-8. Its the Anti-Undertaker streak. He attacks Cena of course and kicks Haas in the face. Him & Rosie have words then work over Shannon Moore (who AGAIN steps in to defend Matt) and Version 1 until Rosie attacks Rikishi. Too much going on now again. Cena beats on Rikishi and RVD drops the leg across Matt Hardy. #21 is Jamal so we got 3 fat Samoans in the ring right now, and none are talented. Rikishi gets a kick to the face by Jamal but he returns the favor. Cena & Version 1 go at it and Rikishi squashes Jamal in the corner and gives him a stink face. Too many guys in there. 3MW double team Rikishi. #22 is Kane and PLEASE clear the ring a little. HE attacks EVERYONE in sight and big boots Test. Side walk slam to Jericho and a chokeslam to RICO! Rosie becomes a victim and is back dropped to the floor. Kane goes to chokeslam Version 1, but Moore runs in AGAIN but is caught coming off the top rope and Kane chokeslams them BOTH! Kane almost tosses Jericho but can't of course. Rikishi lays out Kane though. #23 is Shelton Benjamin so the talent pool increases. He does the leap frog splash onto Cena over Haas's shoulders in a nice spot, then goes for...Version 1. Eddie sleeper holds Rikishi in a RUMBLE match. RVD Almost tosses Hardy to no avail. Kane chokes the hell out of Benjamin and Haas tries tossing Cena. Version 1 levels Jericho. Wooo #24 is Booker T SUCKA! He gives Kane a scissors kick off the bat and gives Matt Hardy a flap jack. SPINAROONI TIME! Eddie is dumped by Booker shortly after and he goes for Rikishi now. RVD keeps killing Version 1 as the ring is too full. #25 is A-Train. GREAT. Baldo Bomb to John Cena! Another To Shelton Benjamin! wait, he gave him a backbreaker. BALDO BOMB TO RVD! Rikishi super-kicks him down though. Jericho holds on AGAIN, but Shawn Michaels comes to the ring and kicks Jerichos ass. He fights off Version 1 & Cena and Test throws Jericho over the top to the floor to a great ovation, but that killed the match just now. Shawn with a plancha onto Jericho! #26 is Maven, and is still quite over. He attacks Cena and Kane, but Kane no sells him and throws him into the corner and unleashes a fury of shots. Version 1 STILL Holds on when Jamal tries dumping him. A-Train with a splash to Charlie Haas. TOO MANY GUYS IN THERE! Haas fights with Jamal while Version 1 focuses his attention to Booker. #27 is Goldust, and we know what his odds are. He attacks Team Angle and powerslams Benjamin. He hammer son Maven and gives him the shattered Dreams that STILL makes me flinch. He goes back to work on Haas, but Team Angle double team him to toss him out. Booker T tries getting revenge but he's also thrown out by Team Angle. Great, they just killed ANOTHER possible winner making the results more then clear by now. #28 is Batista and STILL has no kind of reaction, heel nor face. He attacks everyone from Jamal to Shelton to Rob Van Dam, who I'm shocked is still around. Test with a full nelson slam, but misses a charging boot and falls to the floor. Batista sends Rikishi after him thankfully to clear out another untalented slug. #29 is Brock Lesnar who gets cheered to hell and back. He nails Version 1 and Team Angle, clothesline to Maven and he stomps on Cena. Brock double tosses out Team Angle. Version 1 tries his luck, but gets F5'ed over the top rope onto Team Angle!!!! HOLY SHIT THAT RULED! Albert & Batista double team Brock with their over weight untalented powers, and A-Train takes out Batista. Guess who's next to enter. #30 is The Undertaker (Bad Ass) to a nice ovation. John Cena & Jamal get hammered, as does A-train, RVD and Batista. Clothesline sends Cena out, and Jamal is knocked out by Undertaker as well. Maven tries the drop-kick that eliminated Taker last year but no go and Taker chokeslams him through the canvas almost and throws him out with ease. Albert with the Baldo Bomb on Taker ends the streak. Kane with a chokeslam to Brock Lesnar! RVD with a spinning kick to A-Train and a spinning heel kick to Batista. Kane & RVD team up on the Big Train and clothesline him out. RVD, stoner at large, trusts Kane to press slam him onto Batista, but instead Kane throws him over the top rope. See also, Jeff Hardy & Tajiri. Kane & Batista double KO each other, and so Taker & Brock have the big face to face showdown. Kane & Batista interrupt attacking 1 of each men. Taker takes Batista to town and Brock F5's KANE!!! Brock & Taker lock eyes again and FINALLY go at it. They exchange heavy rights and Brock goes for the F5....which is reversed into the tombstone and Undertaker connects!!!! (Not too good though) Undertaker casually clotheslines Batista out of the ring, then he & Kane decide to team up. Undertaker stabs him in the back though and throws Kane out as well! Batista comes in with a chair but Undertakers confiscates it, and nails him with it sending him out. Taker yaps at him and Brock sneaks up and dumps Undertaker over for the win at 53:45!! Undertaker gives Brock the high five which of course opens HHH'd glass ceiling. Ha Ha Ha. Good Rumble until the REALLY SLOW PERIOD from about. Call it ***1/2. Final Analysis: If You cut out the horrendous 40 minutes with the Women and HHH/Steiner garbage, you have a really good show here, especially the Benoit/Angle Match. Recommendation to Watch just for the last 2 matches alone.

Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted January 22, 2003 Whew... good thing I missed the spoiler. See that Bob, I told you that one way or another I would find out before Thursday night. So damn close...
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted January 25, 2003 I liked how you did the Rumble play-by-play. It allows for easy reference to who entered when, and breaks up the description of the action so that it's not one big-ass paragraph.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted January 25, 2003 Thanks for the feedback. I always thought it was hard to keep up with reading a RR match review since usually it's done in a REALLY long paragraph by certain people.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I agree that the format Scorp used for the Rumble is the best to use for a match of that caliber. It is the same format that I use for the Rumbles, so it is great by default.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Ditto for me, it's MUCH easier to digest than just a big jumbled up paragraph. I bet it was easier to write too. Good job!
