Through the air, Sliced Bread #2! 1....2....3. Worth a ** rating, but no more than that. Overall:63% (58, 69). Spanky and Waterman gain overness. Sanders loses overness. Closing thoughts: Ron Waterman seems like he'll be main eventing in no time. Between his ability to get over no matter what at this event, and his ongoing feud with Nathan Jones, he'll probably be the most over guy on my roster in no time. I'm glad that Johnny Kashmere is doing so well. The "Kashmere Project" as I call it is coming along nicely. This was my best event to date, with an overall of 60%! After the show, Josh Prohibition, Joey Corman and Ricky Marvin all wanted to be moved higher up the card. The show was attended by 1075 people, bringing in $21500 in ticket sales. At the end of the month, I fired the Villanos, Scott Vick and Headhunter B. Why you ask? 1)To cut costs somewhat, since I keep losing money, and 2)XPW went under, so say hello to PWE stars Chris Chetti and Julio Dinero! Alas, I was rejected AGAIN for TV, this time by KJLA. Bastards. PI is up to 80%! Finances are down to $1988560.

Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted February 1, 2003 Is it too late to get in on this? Ah hell no! You can join in if you want. You just have to follow these guidelines. Taken from Tully316 in the Fantasy Booking Contest. "All right....here's my idea (stealing from Zack Malibu's idea ) We each create a new promotion in File Editor with the following conditions: Regional Level 75% Public Opinion $3,000,000 Hard Setting Business heading into a boom period (restart game if heading into bust) No TV Deal No Workers No Staff Cannot edit any worker's details We can do three months each week, basically one year a month We can start January 27th and post a status every Sunday or Monday You can create as many titles as you want, and whatever type you want. (Edit: Was actually regulate to about 4 titles, seeing as that's about all you can support at the time.) How does that sound? any suggested changes or differing opinions?" Also, you are not allowed to steal wrestlers from other promotions till you work out of Regional. You can only get wrestlers off of free agency. Gotta make it past Regional to start stealing wrestlers. Not sure but that should be it. Also you can't post more then three months of what's going on in your fed per week. As soon as Monday starts, you can post up another three months. And make sure you only post up three and don't be an idiot like me (I missed this rule, and have to wait till after this coming Monday [the Monday after] to start posting my TWL again). ...on a side note, July 28, 2003 is the date to beat to get to Cult level right now. As I got there. Just in case someone wants to make a run and see if they can get there before then, as I had.

I don't really know what to do with Mike Sanders as he could jump ship any minute. But in the mean time he'll be put to good use in getting over the other talent. I have big plans for Austin Lee. I'm doing this on two different computers so the results are going to be brief for the first two months. Proabably because today, or when you started the game in real life, it because Feb 1. EWR recognizes this, and thus you'll start the month after Feb (which would be March). Sucks, I know. OH, and BTW, don't be thiking of getting a TV show till Cult level. Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted February 2, 2003 oh my god! I didn't quit! Yes, that's right, even though I completed all of one month since we started, I am still in. The reason for this is because I discovered that I got a TV deal at the beggining of March. It was just Regional Network, but I didn't think I'd get it, and had no kind of long term booking plan. [vince]a what?[/vince] anyway, I'll try and skip the gory details of a long month. ABW March First off, I started feuds since I had a show to work with: - Ultimo/Psicosis - Rosey/Mike Sanders - Anthony Durante/Mr. Black - Ebbesan/Men's Teoh - Air Paris/Lash Leroux SHOW 1 - Jonny Storm vs. Derrick King- 54% Kaz Hayashi turns face saving Storm from the wrath of King and his partner Jason Lee. - Waterman talks about how he's going to gain overness after this interview. 58% - Durante vs. Waterman - 64% Black buries Durante with a CHOKESLAM BAH GAWD - Nick Dinsmore is being stalked. 67%, Dinsmore gets over. - Mike Sanders patiently explains his greatness. 68% - Spanky vs. Teoh - 67%. Overall rating 70%, TV rating .80 After the show I find out Psicosis and Ultimo are at 75 over for having such a sweet ass match. Cool. Then I find out McMahons Inc. stole Men's Teoh. Fuckers. I bitterly pick up Funaki and insert him in the Ebessan feud. Plus, I start a Spanky/Spiffy feud. Loser has to call himself "Mike" for a month. SHOW 2 - Suicide Blondes vs. Kaz/Storm for the new ABW tag titles. 56%, Blondes win, titles lose overness. I agree. - Waterman talks about his grandma. 73%, gains overness - Waterman vs. Shelton Benjamin. 61%, Shelton wins, and then he and a chair kick Waterman's ass. Overall rating 69%, TV rating .80 Do you save your worst effort for the most crucial times? I do! Overall rating 75% (?!?), TV rating .80 So I follow my worst show with my best show? Ok. So for March, I made $275,420, giving me a tad over 3 mil. My PI is at 79%, a nice jump from 71 after my first show. I raised my production to 55. I raised my advertising to 45. I hired 2 writers. One is named Banky Edwards. That does not bode well. The bad news is I got a 2nd TV show, on TSN Fridays. This is bad, because it may take me a month to get to April. Possibly more. But I'll try.

How the hell did you get a TV deal with Regional Network? I couldn't get a single deal landed with a decent TV station if I wanted.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted February 2, 2003 Ah, that's the trick. Regional Network isn't a decent network, it's a shitty network. The reason I got a .8 rating every time is because that's the highest possible rating you can get on that channel. As for TSN, fuck knows how I got that one. And it remains to be seen how many times they'll let my guys throw fireballs at eachother before they cancel me.

Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted February 3, 2003 Tomorrow is Monday (Febuary 3rd, 2003). Tomorrow, we start months May, June, and July, and end August 1st. Everyone, except Flik, who is probably in the year 2006 as we speak. Ah, no. Not really. I've actually slowed down my process. I'm currently just heading into my September Event actually. Give me the rest of this week, and I'll be tearing up January 2004 (lol, I wish!). I've got mostly an idea of where I want to go, and how I want to get there. Just a problem of keeping my top six main eventers in the top end. Sucks that most of them are almost dropping back into Uppercarders... Ugh... What's really weird is that the Sponsors are supposed to pay (by show) how ever much they are worth. That isn't the case. I found out that I'm only getting a monthly payment of what they are worth. So that's also hampering my progress as I'm just barely making enough money per month.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted February 3, 2003 PWE Results for May: Joey Corman injured himself at a house show (broken leg, out 12 months). He and Samir got released. I ended their feud with Kappa Tappa Kegga off screen, and thankfully no one lost overness. Signed Psychic as heel opener. Prepared M-Dogg 20 for a heel turn. Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted February 5, 2003 Ravenbomb: We can only use free agents in the game to start the promotion.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted February 5, 2003 Ravenbomb: We can only use free agents in the game to start the promotion. As soon as you make Cult status, THEN you can steal verbal workers from other people... Speaking of which, I think I'll play that game since its been at least a whole week now since I haven't. Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted February 5, 2003 I know about our "Cult Status=Stealing" rule, but I don't think Rey Mysterio Jr. or AJ Styles were under verbal contracts . Just sayin' is all.

Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted February 5, 2003 oh, sorry, guess I missed a bunch of stuff. No, I'm at Global, so none of my guys are on verbal contracts Zack Malibu and and Tully316 are given full credit for creating this splendid competition. Here's how we are playing. We each create a new promotion in File Editor with the following conditions: Regional Level 75% Public Opinion $3,000,000 Hard Setting Business heading into a boom period (restart game if heading into bust) No TV Deal No Workers No Staff Cannot edit any worker's details We can do three months each week, basically one year a month We can start January 27th and post a status every Sunday or Monday You can create as many titles as you want, and whatever type you want. (Edit: Was actually regulate to about 4 titles, seeing as that's about all you can support at the time.) Now the Sub Rules (You know, the confinory rules): 1) You are not allowed to steal wrestlers from other promotions till you work out of Regional. You can only get wrestlers off of free agency. Gotta make it past Regional to start stealing wrestlers. 2) You can't post more then three months of what's going on in your fed per week. As soon as Monday starts, you can post up another three months. Something to make note of: Anybody who joins up right now will begin in March 2003. Which means you are already a month behind us. You'll be able to post all months that you are currently behind (till end of July), but once you catch up, you'll be on the 3 month-1 week system that was employed as the standard rule to everyone. PS - Am I now the enforcer of the rules all the sudden? I keep on blabbing my mouth off about them, so does that make me the enforcer?
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Report post Posted February 6, 2003 Yike, if he wants to do it, he is going to have to do 6 months before next monday.... And can everyone put what Month they are posting before they post all their results. Makes it easier for me.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted February 6, 2003 Yike, if he wants to do it, he is going to have to do 6 months before next monday.... And can everyone put what Month they are posting before they post all their results. Makes it easier for me. Actually, it's five months Jenkins. If you boot up a new EWR game right now, you'll be in the month of March. Somehow, it picks the following month you are in. As for the titling... Jenkins, I'm truly sorry. I'll make sure that after the usual intro, I'll state the proper month, and make sure I only post month by month from now on. Edit: S.O.B! I've got two main event faces like above 70 with overness and yet, two of my heels (one of them a truly important part of my show) is sitting at 65 overness (heading back into Uppercard overness). WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG?!
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted February 6, 2003 Okay I need help, I've tried twice and I can't seem to get anything going well. What sort of criteria should I be looking for in my roster? Should I sign legitimate Main eventers or take some midcard guy and put him in the main events?
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted February 6, 2003 Try to not sign anyone over $70000 to start. And for a personal rule for every person over $40000 i sign I have to sign someone under $20000 to balance it out.
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted February 6, 2003 So ignore Sophie's salary cap of 40,000?
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted February 6, 2003 No you just kind of have to balance out the cheap guys with the expensive guys. Say you sign Tajik, the Hotshots and American Kickboxer for 9000 apiece then you can over spend a bit for Main Event players.
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted February 6, 2003 Should I wait a few days, see who gets released?
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted February 6, 2003 It's totally up to you. You need to have a full roster off the bat, or PI will drop. If you're waiting for certain people to be released, just sign anyone, then fire them when you get who you really want. Most guys with high overness with refuse to join your league as it is. I think the "cutoff" point is 70. You can sign ANYONE you want. The roster is up to you.
