Guest converge241 Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Its kind of a rhetorical question but does anyone else remember Piper being courted to be the official "leader" of WCW and he answered one week by Tony "getting word in his headset" that a video was delivered answering it.. It was piper in a video for a song he was singing (?) called "Im your man" with him smiling and on the beach and all sorts of ridiculousness to paraphrase Tony Soprano "it all seemed very gay" they played the whole 4 minutes of it too what the hell for??? so what was going on?? it served no purpose and they never answered it again and i know that was kinda par for the course for WCW at that time but lets discuss anyway
Guest JHawk Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 They showed that because the video had a marquee that said "Rowdy Roddy Piper vs. Hulk Hogan" and that was supposed to be the proof that Piper wanted another shot at Hogan. Of course, that video was shot in 1992 and it aired on Nitro in 1996, so how the hell they expected people to buy it is beyond me.
Guest Sykotic2002 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I thought that video was funny as hell when I saw it.
cawthon777 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I think I brought this up in an old thread about planted fans running into the ring during a match. The funny thing about this - and there are many funny things - is that a "fan" jumped over the railing and handed Schiavone the tape before he was escorted away by security. A few minutes later, Schiavone and Zbyzsko got into a whole issue of stupid fans that want their 15-minutes of fame by interrupting a television broadcast.
Guest converge241 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I forgot about that fan part lol 1992? WTF? did roddy have a hasslehoff-like german music career or something??
