Guest Youth N Asia Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 I'm going with Weird Science, I didn't even know there was a movie till after I saw the tv show. Great show on the USA network, I didn't know you could call someone a "dick" on tv back then. Funny, and probably my favorite show of that time. But the 2 main guys from the show didn't go onto do anything. The girl that played Lisa was in Kingpin, then a couple little things here and there. And I was shocked to see Lee Terguson (who played Chet) play someone's bicth on Oz when I first saw the show last year. And my favorite show as a kid...Parker Lewis Can't Lose...I actually thought that's how high school was going to be when I was a kid. The only one who went on to do anything from that show was the guy that played Larry "Coobiac"(sp)...he's the big guy on ER. And Please, no one say Saved by the Bell...that show has not fallen into Forgotten territory
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 The girl who played Lisa is Vanessa Angle I would go with Hard Time on Planet Earth. It starred Martin Kove, the evil dojo owner of the Karate Kid films, as an alien warrior framed for a crime he didn't commit and banished to the backwards planet of Earth. Kove was given a flying electronic eye thing as a parole officer to help him out and encourage him to do good deeds in order to work toward early release. It was like Highway to Heaven meets the Terminator with a mild comical bent. Another show in a similar bent I liked was the 100 Lives of Black Jack Savage. It was about a whiz kid millionaire who was charged with investment fraud named Barry Tarberry (I will never forget that name) who flees to the Carribean and buys an old world type castle. The castle is home to the ghost of notorious pirate Black Jack Savage who is hiding from the fires of hell. He must changes the course of 100 lives for the better to get into heaven and convinces Barry to help him so that he can avoid a similar fate when he dies.
Guest JangoFett4Hire Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 OK, let's see... Herman's Head- does that count? Adventures of Beans Baxter, one of the earliest FOX shows... about a teenage PI or spy or something... anyone remember that one?
Guest Madmartigan21 Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 OK, let's see... Herman's Head- does that count? Adventures of Beans Baxter, one of the earliest FOX shows... about a teenage PI or spy or something... anyone remember that one? HOLY FUCKING SHIT! I remember Beans Baxter. I haven't thought of that show in years. From what I remember he was indeed a spy for the government. I think the ongoing storyline was that he was always searching for his father. His father also happened to be a spy and was kidnapped by some evil foreign power. Some others off the top of my head: Werewolf - Although it seems that people from this board remember it. Get a Life Sledge Hammer! Street Hawk - Cop with a super motorcycle.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 Doogie Howser M.D. Why isn't this on TVLand or Nick At Night ?
Guest cpac Posted January 23, 2003 Report Posted January 23, 2003 The blonde hair kid who played Anthony Michael Halls role on Weird Science the TV show is the son of the writer, creator or is it producer of I Dream of Genie and Bewitched, so he has a ton of money. I saw him on the Howard Stern E show when his wife of all people, Jenny McCarthy was promoting Scream 3. A show that I remember when I was a kid was the Torkelsons, which had a young Britney Murphy in the cast. Doogie Howser MD is on the pax channel I believe.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 What time ? Day ?

Guest hardyz1 Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 I loved Sliders. One of my favorite shows ever. Too bad it moved to Sci Fi and I never saw it again.
Guest starvenger Posted January 24, 2003 Report Posted January 24, 2003 oh...and the Centurions kicked all kinds of ass....I saw they were mentioned up there Oh yeah. I guess the toy line fizzled, since the show was only around for 1 season. But it was a great concept. As an aside, I'm shocked that they haven't used "Power Extreme" as a morphing call on Power Rangers...
