Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 Yep, Ian Rotten's apparently working with Rob Black and the Scum of the Ear...I mean XPW. Jerry Lynn's mystery opponent last night was supposed to be Shane Douglas, in an XPW Title match. Shane couldn't make it (Thank God), but Ian went on a big spiel, apparently, about how he's working with XPW now. Their talent comes to IWA-MS (NO...well, only if they send Lynn & Pain weekly, to go along with M-Dogg 20 & JPro), and IWA-MS guys go to XPW (another clue upon who I was talking about in the XPW thread last weekend about going to XPW). At least they replaced Douglas with Chris Hero (YET another clue about who I was talking about in the XPW thread last weekend that's going to XPW), and everyone's saying the show was really good. The full results, directly from ExtremeLoco over at the CZWFans Message Board: Show started with Ian Rotten announcements.. and people from the back coming out and talking about their IWA days and all that. Award Ceremony for Tracey Smothers.. and Harley Race talking about the Orginal Sheik just passing away. And there was a 10 Bell Salute. Than Ian went into saying how Lynn's mystery opponent couldn't make it tonight cause the Postal Service didnt get this person's ticket to him intill 30 mins to late. As his flight left at 11:30 and it didnt arrive intill 12 Noon on Friday. So the person couldn't make it.. but Ian announced who it was anyways.. -- so after the speculations on the Net if it could be AJ Styles, Sabu, Justin Credible.. ect I didn't see one person have it right.. cause it was announced it would have been.. THE XPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION... SHANE DOUGLAS!!!! Thats right.. Douglas was to face Lynn at the 300th show.. and also put up the XPW World Title against Lynn. As it now seems.. IWA MS and XPW has a working agreement. IWA will be sending talent there.. as there is already talent there as in Smothers, Shark Boy.. and XPW will have talent in IWA.. which again there is. Matt & J-Pro.. Jerry Lynn.. Ect. Shocking announcement.. but I marked. I havent really been exposed to XPW all that well.. so I never been a huge fan. But I am a fan of Shane Douglas and some other well known talent in XPW. So it was good news. And this is good exposure for IWA MS on the East Coast as well for XPW here in the Mid-South. As for the rest of the results in quick manner... There is alot of changes due to no shows and stuff.. Stan Dupp d. Simon Sezz Shark Boy d. Mitch Ryder Chip Fairway d. M-Dogg 20 with help from Special Ref Dean Baldwin as Dean was one sided the whole match Michael Todd Straton d. K.O. Mark Wolf d. 'Ravishing' Adam Gooch - Gooch was trying to act like Rick Rude with painted on abs and all that crap. Mark Wolf defeated him in quickness. Like 50 seconds into the match. Josh Prohibition d. Colt Cabana Nate Webb d. Nick Mondo in TLC Match to retain his Lightweight Title Danny Daniels d. Chris Sabin - awesome match. Great wrestling both mat and technical wrestling by both of these guys Tracey Smothers d. Superstar Steve Ian Rotten d. Bull Pain in a Cage Match -- Harley Race was the Special Door Keeper person. Race punched out both Todd Straton and Adam Gooch when they tried to help Bull Pain. Corp Robinson than came into the cage like he was gonna hit Ian but turned on Bull Pain and helped Ian win the match. Too Tuff Tony than returned and turned on Corp Robinson. Than was attacked by the whole "Bad Motherfuckers" stable. And locker room cleared.. with Hero, Punk, Steel, Mondo, Webb, and several others clearing the ring and sending the Bad Motherfuckers out of the cage. CM Punk d. Ace Steel & Vic Capri to retain the IWA Mid-South Title. -- Match of the Night. Pretty damn awesome. Punk had some sick bumps onto his head. Some people may knwo about his fractured skull incident last year. With the bumps he was taking on his head tonight.. I was surprised nothing serious happened. Jerry Lynn d. Chris Hero -- alot of finish teases. Alot of good wrestling. Lynn finished with the Cradle Piledriver. --- 8 Man Hardcore Rumble --- (Returning) Cash Flo JC Bailey Some dude that had the last name of Bull.. didnt catch his first name Rollin' Hard Mad Man Pondo Corp Robinson (Returning) Too Tuff Tony (Returning) AXL ROTTEN !! Winner: Too Tuff Tony Note: Cant name all the spots.. to many really. Plus they was all over the place. The crowd just scattered all over also.
Guest Sandman9000 Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 Dammit IWA-MS. We all know how they mostly survive with the money from their tape sales, I'm wondering how much money Black offered Ian. In all honesty, I don't like the deal since I'm a CZW fan, but this puts legit talent into XPW's camp, and takes it away from CZW and ROH. I'm sure Mondo won't be back, but I dunno about Punk and Cobana. I just wonder how much longer Black can throw around money for.
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted January 25, 2003 Report Posted January 25, 2003 In all reality, with all of his outside bookings anymore, I don't think CM Punk is long for IWA-MS, sadly, with or without Ian selling his soul to Satan. I've said in the past the reason why (insert mystery person who's debuting in XPW soon) wasn't at XPW last weekend was so that Mondo wouldn't be pissed at him and maybe do something he would regret. Last night totally blew that theory out of the water.
