Guest tombstone Report post Posted March 11, 2002 Wrestlemania X – 8 - Maven vs. Boss Man ½* W/ Al Snow Maven gets the win when Snow deprives Boss Man of his night - stick and Maven nails him with a drop - kick followed by a school – boy. - European Title **½ Diamond Dallas Page © vs. Christian Christian reclaims the European title after getting pissed at DDP’s coaching. A title shot got the pin. Afterwards DDP raised Christian’s arm aloft and said he thought that his motivational training was paying off. - Lance Storm vs. The Hurricane *** Filler match. Won by Storm with the Single Leg Crab. - Hardcore Title ** Goldust © vs. Tazz Goldust is put to sleep with the Tazzmission as he takes too long to hit a Curtian Call. - Test vs. Tajiri * W/ Torrie Test decimates Tajiri, eventually scoring the win with a pump - handle slam. - Tag Team Titles *** Four Corners Elimination Match Billy & Chuck © vs. APA vs. Dudley Boys vs. Hardy Boys Billy eliminates the APA with a One & Only on Bradshaw. Matt Hardy takes advantage of the APA’s revenge to hit Chuck with the Twist of Fate to eliminate the champions. Finally, Jeff reverses a 3D for Matt to score a leg drop and pin D’Von for the Hardys to win their sixth tag title. - Booker T vs. Edge *** Edge gets the home – town, win after he spears Booker after a spinerooni and locks on the Sharper – Edge for the submission victory. - Women’s Title **½ Jazz © vs. Lita Lita scores the Moonsault for the win after Trish had attacked Jazz and hit her with the Bulldog. - Kane vs. Kurt Angle ***½ Massive brawl, with some work by Angle on Kane’s injured ankle and ribs. Finish comes when Angle goes for the Angle Slam and can’t lift Kane, who hoists him for the Tombstone and the 1 – 2 – 3. - Intercontinental Title **½ William Regal © vs. Rob Van Dam Weapons filled to hide the style gap. RVD gets the win, despite a Tiger Driver onto a chair after he hits Regal with the Van Terminator and drags him to the middle of the ring for a Five Star Frog Splash and the win. - Street – fight ** Ric Flair vs. the Undertaker Taker decimates Flair. Flair rallies to lock Taker up in the figure four around the ring post, and looks like stealing the win. However as he goes to nail Taker with the ring steps, the Dead man kicks them into his face. Taker is busted open and can hardly stand to deliver Flair a chokeslam for the win. - Scott Hall vs. Stone Cold ** W/ Kevin Nash Decent brawl with Austin coming out on top until Hall inadvertently nails the referee with a clothesline. Enter Nash and the nWo beat – down TM. Austin fights back, managing to hit Hall with a Stone Cold Stunner but Nash nails him with the Big Boot and Hall rolls over for the win. - Undisputed WWF Title ***½ Chris Jericho © vs. Triple H W/ Stephanie McMahon HHH goes right into Jericho who flees like the wussy heel he is. Eventually Jericho nails HHH with a chair and starts working, on his injured back. Jericho rolls up the Walls, but HHH reverses into a pin, but Jericho reverses into a sharpshooter (drawing HUGE response from the Canadian crowd) but HHH makes the ropes. Jericho puts HHH down with the missile drop – kick. But the game is up and nails Jericho with the knee. HHH works Jericho over until they are going punch for punch, but the Game dodges Jericho’s punch and locks up the Pedigree. Stephanie wades in and nails HHH with the World Title, allowing Y2J to hit the Breakdown for the pin. Jericho celebrates and takes his titles up the ramp. Stephanie however stays behind and taunts HHH, laughing at the Game. HHH eventually gets tired of it, and KICK WHAM PEDIGREE to the crowd’s HUGE approval. - Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs. the Rock **** Both come out to huge responses. Hulk and Rock brawl around the ring for ages until Hulk scoops Rocky up and slams him down. Hulk poses and lifts Rock off the mat and starts pummelling him. Suddenly Rock grabs Hogan’s arm and starts with the right hands before whipping him for the belly to belly flip. Rock stomps into Hogan and picks him up. Rocky again starts with the right hands. He goes for the supercharged Rocky spit punch. And Hogan blocks it, shakes his head and nails Rock with an uppercut. Hogan poses like a bully and waits for Rock to get up, nailing the Big Boot. Hogan hits the leg drop for a LONG 2 count. The nWo of course appear immediately and a mass beat – down of Rocky occurs. Just as Hogan goes for the cocky pin on Rock, Glass shatters and Austin barrels down with a chair, nails Hall & Nash and Stunners Hogan. Rock & Hogan are up together and Hogan goes to Big Boot the Rock but Rocky ducks and hits Hogan with a ROCK BOTTOM, ROCK BOTTOM for the pin and the surprise victory Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
