What the hell were you thinking Vince

Alright, I remember the show and all, but I just reciently poped in the tape and skimmed through it.

 

During the show Vince announces to the people at home that Brain Pillman passed away...and later in the show he announecs an updated JUST TO SAY drugs may have been involved...now why the shit would he do that?! There's no reason for the home audiance.

 

I wasn't online back then, was there a big uproar about it?

Okay I wasn't very 'net' savvy in 97, and I didn't get Badd Blood so I came from home to watch RAW from work and my brother said "Brian Pillman's dead they said and they're gonna interview his wife." At first I thought given Pillman's crazy character that the WWF was going to show some freaky Mock Funeral from Pillman's home, just to show what an f'd up indivdual Pillman was. Sadly I realized it was true when they did the 10 Bell salute and on Nitro they offered condolences.
