It's really not a big deal, we don't even want Dion anymore, you guys can have her. Really, you can, we won't complain.

For some reason I thought of a good car commercial for her. A big concert, really loud with Celine Dion. She's singing one of her more pop songs. Cut to a car. Inside the car you have a guy dancing inside. Cut back and forth between Celine and the car guy, make it look like he's dancing to her song. Then cut inside the car, where he's playing something entirely different on his radio, and you cant even here the concert. Then the tagline "<insert car name>'s interior will keep out any unwanted outside noise".

Um, her husband is NOT a U.S. citizen. He is a French-Canadian just like Celine. Celine is probably a legal resident of the U.S. and a Canadian citizen. Her son, however, is a citizen as he was born in Florida. Regardless, Celine is not a "shitty" singer and sounded lovely singing "God Bless America" last night. What is wrong with a non-citizen singing our anthem?

I merely made a smartass remark with a sarcastic overtone about a professional singer singing at a large event. That is what she does for a living, and I'm not going to hold that against her. I also think she is a very talented woman whose musical tastes are not geared towards the Rock I normally listen to. She does, however, go for an epic feel to some of her songs which I do enjoy as a storyteller. So no, not all of us who commented in this thread declared she is a crappy singer. Get your facts straight there, bucko.
