Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Did anyone else see this show? Did anyone think it was the funniest thing ever? Snoop Dogg is on all week, and he was obviously drunk and just making fun of anything and everything. Him, Clooney and Warren Sapp were just awesome tonight, joking around and making fun of everything. Coldplay rocked the house...The ROCK IS ON TOMORROW and it's live. Let's see how that turns out. As for right now...look out Letterman and Leno.

Guest Mole Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Yes, this is my new favorite show. Jimmy is the best talk show host on late night. He is just an everyday guy so you can appeal to him. He is funny, and did a GREAT job with this first show being live. Plus the fact that he has a special guest host everyweek is a great idea. Now is his show going to be live everynight? If so, that would be sweet. And like Mike said already, Rock's gonna be on tomorrow. I'll be there everynight, and if I can't watch it, I'll actually record it. The show is that good, IMHO. Guest Justwitty Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I agree. I thought this was hilarious, MUCH better than I was expecting. To me, it came off as a more polished version of Late World with Zach which ran on VH1 for a few weeks in 2002. Both hosts seem to be trying to stir up a vibe of "I don't give a shit, let's have fun." If Zach Galifianakis hosted and both men just went off on cable, it could be one of the funniest dual rants in quite some time. (Now watch ABC cancel this in 6 weeks. Frickin' ABC.) Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Oh right, the show. It was pretty good. I'll be watching it regularly.
Guest Mole Report post Posted January 27, 2003 ABC would be the dumbest network for getting rid of this show. Best line of the night from Jimmy: ""We are about to go to war with two countries, and the Marines are guadring a pickle jar" - Jimmy Kimmel on the Marines guarding a pickle jar with predictions to the SB LMAO. Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted January 27, 2003 My favorite parts were Jimmy busting Snoop for giving up weed and Clooney talking about meeting Snoop and 2pac in Mexico and how it was probably the weirdest picture ever.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I don't think Jimmy's show will be live -- if memory serves me right, he said on Letterman that SB Sunday would be the only live show (maybe the first week only, I can't remember)...
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I read that it's gonna be live every night. That it's supposed to be a big deal because it's the only live comedy talk show.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I laughed the hardest when they were ragging on Arnold at the Super Bowl. I felt bad for Clooney, though. I got the feeling that he felt really out of place during the Sapp interview, maybe he was scared because he was in between 2 black guys. Snoop was hilarious, as usual. I didn't think Jimmy himself was that great of a host, but it might just be because of the nerves involved with a pilot, live network show. I also wasn't used to a show with no definitive moment of closure at the end of each segment. I don't recall him saying to any of the guests, "Thanks for coming," or "Good luck," it was just "Hey, so and so is here up next." and then a commercial. Not exactly a criticism, just unusual. Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted January 27, 2003 "I read that it's gonna be live every night. That it's supposed to be a big deal because it's the only live comedy talk show." That will be interesting -- I'm assuming it will be on the West Coast...
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I was just fixing to go look the show up and check to make sure it was really gonna be live every night and I didn't just make that up. Then it dawned on me, the show is called Jimmy Kimmel LIVE. I think maybe that's enough proof. haha
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Yeah it's live. If you felt bad for Clooney, feel bad for Al Michaels. He will be there with Snoop, The Rock, and 50 cent, who calls himself the hardest rapper alive. Haha. Al Micheals is gonna be so out of place tonight. Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I liked it last night, alot of Props getting the first interview with a Bucs Player. I wonder whom they planned to be the Raiders Interviewee (Likely, Rice). Yeah, Snoopy Dooggy was tight and already been censored 3 times. Clooney was out of place but he is a funny guy anyways. Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I thought the show was good, Like Kimmel was roasting his producer about him partying with that chick in the paper, and him cracking on Arnold. Snoop had me rolling when talking about his crew and what they thought the "Green Room" was, and him giving O'Reilly the finger 3 times. Sapp was funny as well. Jimmy: Warren you heard of Coldplay? Sapp: Im about to find out I guess
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I enjoyed it. There were a few rough spots (Gruden leaving before they could talk to him), but it was a pretty good show. I'll be watching tonight, but, knowing ABC, they'll cancel it in a few months because it hasn't overtaken Leno yet.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted January 27, 2003 It was pretty good. The main thing is that Snoop is a brilliant choice as co-host. He is great. I didn't find Kimmel to be a great host but hey, he's still new at it. He needs some work as an interviewer. I'll keep watching though.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Isn't Snoop a one week guest host? I thought it was funny when Jimmy asked Snoop to take a drug test, and Snoop became hesitant and wanted to get off the subject.
Guest Bricks Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Yes. Snoop is only guest co-host for one week. I wonder if they're getting a new one for every week though?
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted January 27, 2003 There's supposed to be a new co-host every week, Bricks.
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Just hope he doesn't resort to Adam Carolla too soon. Not that I don't like him, but I want to see something different.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Coldplay rocked the house Zuh? Coldplay and rocked don't belong in the same sentence. Coldplay bored me to death would be a better sentence.
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Eh, I like Coldplay. I listen to all kinds of music. I happen to think Rush of Blood to the Head is a pretty spectacular rock CD however.
