I'm fixing to join the old Columbia House club because that other damn thread got me in the mood. haha I've been all through their pitiful enrollment selections and I've narrowed it down to these choices. But which ones should I get out of these?

Mallrats

Usual Suspects SE

Terminator SE

The Lord Of The Rings

American History X

The Untouchables

Casablanca

Legend

Days of Thunder

The Filth and the Fury

Patton

The Bridge on the River Kwai

The Wild Bunch - director's cut

Top Gun

Unforgiven SE

Blow Out

Mallrats is a pretty solid dvd and it is hard to find under $20.

If you're a big Top Gun fan, like all Paramount DVDs, despite not having (m)any special features to speak of it's still got a $25+ price tag. I can't really speak for the rest since I'm not familiar with special features and I'm a special features junky.

Yeah. I went ahead and got these...

Mallrats

Unforgiven

Days of Thunder

Top Gun

Terminator

Usual Suspects

Lord of the Rings

Because they are all over 20 dollars. Everything is under 20 so I'll 2 of these when I have to buy some for full price.

If they have the Others, I'd get it.

I just got one in the mail today, and I'm actually going to finish the membership for once. When I was younger I got CDs and I just got the free CDs and nothing else. My mom then would just pay them off because she was such a nice Mommy. Man, I was lucky... :(

May I inquire as to what thread and free DVDs thing you guys are talking about? I always throw those "12 DVDs for a penny" things out since one time I actually did join a club just for the free gift and they wouldn't leave me alone, even three years after I quit.

Since I just got this offer in the mail, the 5 DVDs for .49 cents. Should I send it in the mail, or do it on internet? Which would be better?

Thanks fellas.

I am trying to do it right now, but the website is taking FOREVER to load.

The last time I did it on the net, they sent me a letter in the mail denying me, or asking me to verify something again. It was kind of annoying because I just wanted the damn movies. So if this takes forever, I am just going to send it in the mail.

Thanks again though.

no prob. If you are using a credit card you can always call it in using the code

Yeah, I don't have a credit card and I'm not going to use my pops.

I am just going to send it in the mail, so they can send me the bill in the mail. If they still do that.

hope you used the cvx code. :)

--Rob

Yep.

The Columbia House website seems to always be slow.

I just ordered all mine online and there was never a place to pay for it upfront anyway. They still send you the bill in the mail along with the DVDs. You can pay it online then if you want or not if you don't.

You should use that CVX deal and order online. It's the exact same deal except you don't have to pay shipping for your enrollment order. Ordering through the mail just because the website is a little slow is gonna make you pay another 14 dollars.

Oh..well then. I didn't know about the shipping fees.

I'll just do it tomorrow then, thanks bro.

I'm not THAT stupid. I found the right one.

Hey, aren't you supposed to be doing a new DVD releases thread, it's been nearly a month!

Yeah, but no one seemed to care anymore, so I stopped doing them.

CHUD, I looked forward to them every week. Please could you start up again?

I too, looked forward to them, because as is, outside of my limited scope of cult DVDs, I have no idea what's being released, and despite my high-speed Ethernet, am usually too busy/lazy to check.
