Guest Renegade Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I’ve really been waiting to pick up a new RPG in a while, problem is most of the RPG’s I have played/finished recently have had shit storylines and I really don’t want to waste my time with bad payoffs. I was wondering if anyone could list me some RPG’s that have a great storylines . (please keep the thread spoiler free)

Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Dragon Warrior 7 (old school, but very well done) Grandia 2 (just a well built and decent story, yet I loved it) Skies of Arcadia (to be release on the 28th for GC) Xenogears (should you like mythical, and biblical stuffy) Xenosaga (prelude to Xenogears) Yet, my number one choice would be "Arc the Lad" The Collection. You get 3 playstation games (4 if you include the Arc Arena), get an otaku box full of koolio stuffy, and even a koolio instruction booklet. Although, I paid about 128 canadian for mine... So it's a little steep. Yet, for 3 great games, a well developed mini game/battle arena, and frankly a lot of other stuff. It's quite a buy. Although, I'll admit that Arc the Lad (that's the original game, not the whole collection) you'll beat in about 10-12 hours, unless you are like me and try getting all the Romancing Stones (they make the Romancing Stone in Arc The Lad 2, a very great item to get). Then it's about 20-30. Arc the Lad 2 will take about 50-80. 80 being you actually do every single job that can be given out by the Hunter's Guilds. I haven't made it to Arc the Lad 3 yet, due to the fact that I recently lost my mem card with my memory. So had to restart Arc The Lad again. But from what I know: Arc The Lad 1 is pretty much the prologue to the Collection, Arc the Lad 2 is the actual story, and Arc The Lad 3 brings everything to a close. Arc Arena also can only be accessed after a certain point in Arc The Lad 2, if I remember correctly.

Guest EricMM Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Yeah, say which ones you played, which ones you liked, and which ones you hated. I mean... I COULD say diablo... if that was you're thing. . . . No I'd never say Diablo
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted January 28, 2003 EarthBound: The other only RPG I own. Now, before you attempt to find it, you should know it's really weird and not the average RPG. I'm sure you already knew that, though.
