Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Barry "B2" Buchanan is the latest name to be released by WWE. Buchanan was apparently released over the weekend, due to WWE not having anything for him to do. Buchanan's role alongside John Cena was given to Redd Dogg, who WWE is very high on and who happens to be the husband of Jazz. Due to business being as bad as it is, WWE is now releasing many of the names that they would have kept in the past. Raven and Justin Credible were both released last week. Guest Brian Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Still a ways to go.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I liked him with Cena, but he had nothing left to do after they broke it up. As far as the hosses are concerned, he's one of the better ones. He's certainly better than "Buff" Steiner.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I liked him as B2 but he was useless
Guest Showstoppa Icon Report post Posted January 27, 2003 i thaught he was entertaining with Cena and pretty agile for a big guy. I kinda feel bad, i met him at a house show and he was really cool. he even gave me a "Booh Ya!"
Guest Justwitty Report post Posted January 27, 2003 I may not have cared much for his characters nor his wrestling ability but I feel bad that he was let go so abruptly. He just had an interview on wwe.com a couple weeks ago about how happy he was with his new role. He sounded really optismistic. On the other hand (and this will sound very cold) The WWE is at least doing the right things for business, cutting loose people don't figure to do much in the future instead of keeping them just because "they are nice." (I'm sorry to sound mean there but it is a business and they have to cut people sometime. They are overstuffed as a roster.)
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 27, 2003 Redd Dogg sucks ass. I'd rather have B2 then him.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted January 27, 2003 While getting rid of a hoss isn't necessarily a bad thing, their choice pisses me off a bit. Bling Bling had more going for him than Albert, Bill DeMott, or almost any other fatass hoss getting TV time right now. I'd have MUCH rather seen A-Train the Human Sweater get a release than B^2. Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted January 27, 2003 at least Bull was somewhat Agile he just had the character developement of well... Steve Blackman without the Hardcore division.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Ross must be devastated.. I agree that as hosses go, he's one of the better ones. I can't believe Albert keeps his job.
Guest Mikazuki Report post Posted January 28, 2003 I didn't mind him either. He was amusing in his sidekick role, and wasn't being shoved down our throats like other hosses...
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted January 28, 2003 I predict 3MW will be the next to go.
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted January 28, 2003 3 Minute Warning and Albert should have went before Buchanan.
Guest Banky Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Haha, Buchanon finally gets released. This shoulda happened in '97. And to all the Bull supporters who shit on Steiner, I can laugh. PS. Cena carried his ass.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted January 28, 2003 You can bet Ross will be crying himself to sleep tonight. I, too, would have much rather had Albert/3MW/Test to go, but at least it wasn't Jamie Knoble or somebody talented.
Guest Banky Report post Posted January 28, 2003 You can bet Ross will be crying himself to sleep tonight. I, too, would have much rather had Albert/3MW/Test to go, but at least it wasn't Jamie Knoble or somebody talented. Test pissed off all of WWE management in the summer yet didn't get buried. He won't get fired anytime soon as his relationship with Stacy means more than he does. He's over with his terribly unfunny testicle gimmick, so he'll be safe for a while. If D'lo doesn't get over with the gimmick he has now, he'll be gone too. I think there are plenty of guys close. And I wouldn't count Albert out, not by a long shot. He has proved his true colors lately - sucky colors.

He won't get fired anytime soon as his relationship with Stacy means more than he does. He's over with his terribly unfunny testicle gimmick, so he'll be safe for a while. Don’t forget his incredible acting acumen. My only hope is that if they cut 3MW warning they don't cut Rico as well. I don't care how old he is. He's more entertaining then most of the roster, he needs to stay.
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted January 28, 2003 You can bet Ross will be crying himself to sleep tonight. I, too, would have much rather had Albert/3MW/Test to go, but at least it wasn't Jamie Knoble or somebody talented. I agree. 3MW was good doing run ins. Once they had to wrestle, they were totally exposed. Albert is just disturbing.
Guest myburninghammer Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Banky, you and me must be watching different shows because Test isn't over; it just seems that way because Stacy is.
Guest candie45 Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Not that I mind his release, but why not fire Mark Henry who is doing shit right now? B2 at least had *something* going storyline wise. What's up with this "oh hey, let's give them a storyline and then fire them just when it's starting" shit? Why not just release A-Train then... that would be a MUCH better choice. Guest Bling-Bling Buchanan Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Damn, poor Bling-Bling. What the HELL is so special about Red Dog? After five years of trying to find a descent character for him and finally succeeding, this is how they repay him.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted January 28, 2003 So wait...you had that name and gimmick before he got released? ... Please go change your name to HHH. Thank you.
Guest Bling-Bling Buchanan Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Yeah, I was BillyTheStud before this name...who since then had a career ending injury.

Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Is Haku still on the roster? If he is, then he should be cut. I also think Funaki needs to get the boot. Too bad for Bling Bling but he added nothing to the WWE.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted January 28, 2003 not Funaki
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Funaki's an entertaining on-air personality, a bump machine, and good PR. Unless he wanted to be, you know, more than a jobber, and maybe wanted to go to NWA-TNA then that'd be fine.
Guest Brian Report post Posted January 28, 2003 They won't get rid of 3MW. It's like a sign of good faith to the Afa family tree, same reason they keep Rikishi (even though at some point he could do some work in the ring and had a good character). Albert, Lita, Show, Test, and Steiner should get the boot.
