Rob E Dangerously Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=30706 In other news, Iran, Ireland and Israel will also get shots at the chairmanship. What a weird world..
Guest RobJohnstone Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Yet another reason to get our country out of the UN as quickly as possible. Fuck globalization. Call me an idiot but why should we let socialists and dictatorships control how our country is run? --Rob
Guest Ozymandias Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 HA! That's the funniest thing I've heard since America decided to fight terrorism
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 That's funny -- Brings back memories of that UN anti-racism summit-thingy a year or so ago where all those countries did was rag on Jews...
Guest Vern Gagne Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Isn't Libya going to chair the human rights committee?
Guest Ozymandias Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Yep. That's almost as funny as it would be if America chaired the Human Rights committee.
Guest bob_barron Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 He's not a troll- he just has different political beliefs then a lot of us here
Guest Vern Gagne Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Why is the U.S. fighting terror so funny? Why would the U.S. be a worse choice than Libya?
Guest Ozymandias Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Oh goody, a troll. Oh goody, someone who announces himself in the third-person.
Guest Kingpk Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 He's not a troll- he just has different political beliefs then a lot of us here Unfortunately, he doesn't convey them in a very good manner.
Guest bob_barron Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Ozzymandis has in previous threads argued out his beliefs in detailed form- that's why I think calling him a troll is a bit overdoing it.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 The United States fighting Terrorism is funny because it's an ideology, and you can't stomp those out. You'd have to kill every human on the planet.
Guest big Dante Cruz Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Dear God, no. Terrorism is motivated by ideaologies. Terrorism is a method. By the way, I'm changing account names. You'll see me as BDC in the future. As if you care....
Guest JMA Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Call me an idiot but why should we let socialists and dictatorships control how our country is run? I agree we shouldn't let dictators tell us how to run our country. However, lots of Americans DO believe in socialism. I myself like the idea of socialized medicine. Something Canada has right now.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Lots of Americans DO believe in socialism, but a HELL OF A LOT MORE DON'T...
Guest Jack Tunney Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 I'd say that Ozymandias has some balls.I've never really heard anyone here disagree with what the US does.(or maybe that's becuase I dont go in this folder too much.)Not everything we do is right.
Guest nikowwf Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 yes, but not everything we do is wrong too. We seem to be held to a higher standard. Its kind of a subtle racism...we give some countries lower standards. its like...we and europeans and whites are ok...we know how to behave so we can be hard on them. Those yellow, black and brown countries....they don't know what they're doing...if they kill their populations...its ok...dont be TOO hard on them. they can't help it niko
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 "I'd say that Ozymandias has some balls.I've never really heard anyone here disagree with what the US does.(or maybe that's becuase I dont go in this folder too much.)Not everything we do is right." To go on an Internet message board and say "Yep. That's almost as funny as it would be if America..." isn't, IMO, a "ballzy" move. Going to a Middle East country to lead a protest in women's rights issues -- now THAT would take balls. On a separate note, I love how some of these separation of church and state groups pimp how brave they are because they are suing some backwater school district because they had a "God Bless America" sign on their front lawn. How about going to China or some other countries that persecutes people due to their religion -- I think that's some separation of church and state issues there...
Guest Jack Tunney Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Going to a Middle East country to lead a protest in women's rights issues -- now THAT would take balls. That might actually cause the protester to lose his balls, literally.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 He's not a troll- he just has different political beliefs then a lot of us here stupidity is not a political belief.
Guest Ozymandias Posted January 31, 2003 Report Posted January 31, 2003 Thank you, Bob. yes, but not everything we do is wrong too. We seem to be held to a higher standard. Its kind of a subtle racism...we give some countries lower standards. its like...we and europeans and whites are ok...we know how to behave so we can be hard on them. Those yellow, black and brown countries....they don't know what they're doing...if they kill their populations...its ok...dont be TOO hard on them. they can't help it niko That kind of behavior is never acceptable, but that doesn't mean that it is wise for us to get involved. We need to have our own house in order instead of worrying about what everyone else is doing. If these nations are as hostile and insane as some people say they are (and they probably are) then it's best to simply leave them to their own insanity as long as they don't fuck with us or our allies. We saw what the results were of us intervening in the matters of other nations 2 Septembers ago, and I don't really feel like going through that nightmare again just because the people who run this country want to exhibit their moral superiority. stupidity is not a political belief. I'm smarter than you & your entire family.
Guest hardyz1 Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 Oh goody, someone who announces himself in the third-person. Oh, snap. Sorry if you're actually not a troll. It's just that your posts in this thread seemed to convey that you were just trying to get attention. Maybe I should start reading the threads more often.
Guest JMA Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 Lots of Americans DO believe in socialism, but a HELL OF A LOT MORE DON'T... Probably more than you think. The way I see it, there HAS to be something better than capitalism.
Guest Mad Dog Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 And it's not socialism I can tell you that.
Guest JMA Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 And it's not socialism I can tell you that. I don't need you to tell me that. Or anything.
Guest JMA Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 Oh my such tough words. Softspoken, my friend.
Guest Mad Dog Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 Ah just messing with you. Just had one too many professors that like to pimp the virtues of socialism while ignoring the many flaws it has.
Guest JMA Posted February 1, 2003 Report Posted February 1, 2003 Ah just messing with you. Just had one too many professors that like to pimp the virtues of socialism while ignoring the many flaws it has. Oh, I agree. It has flaws. I'm not really a socialist, I just like SOME of its ideals.
