Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 I just got back from a screening of this movie and I still can't beleive how good it was. I'm not an action movie fan...but this film was phenomenal. That acting was top notch...and there was a great story that never got in the way of what was, essentially, a 90 minute action sequence. It's a very violent film, in some ways maybe the most violent I've seen, but it's all so well done and so exciting. There are moments in this movie that will haunt me for a long time. I can't remember a better time I've had watching a movie in a theater than this. I give it my highest recommendation.
Guest Mole Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 More violent than Gangs of New York?
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 More violent than Cannibal Holocaust? Nah, just joking. Hunted really wasn't on my priorities list, but after this recommendation, I'll probably put it there.
Guest Army Eye Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Screening? Lucky.. Sounds great. I actually thought this was looking pretty good already. Del Toro as the villain, TLJ in his Fugitive/U.S. Marshals role, I'll go see that any day.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 I never saw Gangs of New York. I almost didn't go to the screening because the trailer didn't really appeal to me.
Guest Lethargic Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 The commericals for Hunted make it look like a melding of the Fugitive and Rambo.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Agree, but if bps likes it this may deserve a second look -- when it comes out on DVD of course...
Guest El Satanico Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 It was on my list simply because Del Toro is in and I love him. It's not very high up my list, but I'll definatly check it out sooner or later.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 I like both these guys, but I can't remember such a blatant non-Van Damme ripoff of Rambo. If people say good things about it, I may have to check it out, (though I can't see myself paying)
Guest RedJed Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 I just don't want to wait til mid March to see this, heard nothing but good things about it

Guest C.H.U.D. Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 This looks very interesting. Del Toro as a psycho villain intrigues me.

What does that mean? You went to the screening and closed your eyes the whole time?
Guest El Satanico Posted January 29, 2003 Report Posted January 29, 2003 I think he was referring to Hunted when he said he almost didn't go to the screening.
