Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 There was recently internal pressure on some to bring back Bret Hart. At first there was a push to bring him back for the Raw X special, but those talks never got off the ground. The No Way Out PPV is from Montreal, and there is once again talk that WWE would like Bret to make an appearance. At this point it would be a longshot for Bret to come back to WWE, even for one appearance, although he and Vince McMahon are once again on speaking terms. Interestingly, it’s said that the Bret Hart talks haven’t come from Vince, who believes it is too soon in their new relationship for Bret to make his return. credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter http://www.411wrestling.com/news/newsboard...hp?news_id=5470
Guest Mole Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Bret shouldn't come back until he heals better from his stroke. It would be very sad to see him looking like crap in that ring. The same ring he used to pull ****+ matches all the time, but now has trouble walking.
Guest treble charged Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Bret's probably never going to wrestle again, and that's probably for the best. It's sad the way he went out, but coming back would probably make it even sadder. Personally, if they are going to have him come back to make a 'good-bye speech', next time they are in Calgary, just have him make an un-announced appearance (since he said on WOL that he doesn't want to be used as a ratings ploy) to say good-bye once and for all. Voila, everyone's happy (Bret gets to say his peace, and the hometown fans can see their hero one last time), it's a win-win situation.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Hmm... Vince vs Hogan in Montreal? Bret could screw Vince!!! Oh..wait..that will never happen..
Guest Dmann2000 Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Hmm... Vince vs Hogan in Montreal? Bret could screw Vince!!! Oh..wait..that will never happen.. Nope. Cause Bret doesn't want to be a part of any storylines either.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Bret recently said (I think on OTR) the only way he would come back would be to say goodbye to his fans in a dignified speech. Vicne wanted him at WM18 as a Ref or to punch him out but Bret didn't want to Ref and didn't want to make him ppunching out Bret to seem like it was a storyline or something. So I imagine it all comes down to whether Vince can spare 10mins of PPV time to allow Bret to say goodbye.

As much as I would like to see Bret at No Way Out I just don't see it happening. I do really hope that he one day does get the chance to say goodbye to the fans on a WWE program. I really do.
Guest El Satanico Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Bret says goodbye...then HBK comes out to gloat/make fun like the prick he is..
cawthon777 Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 I actually listend to the interview on OTR a few days before Raw X. It was clear just from the interview that there was no way Bret was going to appear on the show - even before he confirmed that fact. It was quite depressing to listen to.
Guest Shanghai Kid 2003 Posted January 28, 2003 Report Posted January 28, 2003 Hey if Vince/Bret made up, than why can't Shawn/Bret do the same? Seriously, i'm sure Bret isn't still bitter about it, and Shawn has grown up into his Christian self...i'm sure they could also have a man to man conversation about it. Bret should make a one time only appearence at Wrestlemania...i'm thinking after the Shawn/Jericho match...we don't want the fans to start wondering why their cheering Shawn.
