Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted January 28, 2003 I know this angle was aborted by Bill "I''ve only been around a year but I'm to big a star to fued with a cruiserweight" Goldberg but I made this connection, I wonder if anyone else had thought about it: Had WCW and Goldberg played the angle right it could've been- Jericho = Piper Goldberg = Hogan (sans charisma) Anyone else see the possible similarities? Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted January 28, 2003 When Jericho first came in I wanted him to call out Greenberg and have Gillberg come out. Jericho would cut a promo how he's been ducking him and then kick Gillberg's ass.
Guest evilhomer Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Yet another potential gold mine fued sent down the cammode by WCW mismanagement. That Gillberg angle would have been funny, but unless the WWF had plans of bringing Goldie in, it would have only served to amuse a few smarks.
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted January 28, 2003 Who could forget Fall Brawl 1998? Chris Jericho vs. Goldberg Midget It was panned because they did it on a PPV, but had that angle been done on Nitro or Thunder, it would have gotten huge praise and Jericho was already one of the top heels in WCW, but it would have pushed him over everyone else. Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted January 28, 2003 But I really think had it gone right, Jericho could've been the Piper to Goldberg's Hogan. Who could've been the "Cowboy" Bob Orton for Jericho in 1998 WCW?
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2003 LOL Ralphus. Lenny Lane. Eddie Guerrero. Well, there's really only one serious pick ... but I don't think Ralphus could take it to Goldberg.

I like your ideas but what about Disco Inferno? He always seemed to do a good job of getting heat in WCW and he is/was (depending on your view) a pretty good worker. The promos between Disco and Jericho could have been gold.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted January 29, 2003 I kind of think Reese would have played a good Jericho lackey. He could run intereference, but if he'd screw up, Jericho would let him have it (ala V1/Moore). But since there's almost a 2' height difference, it'd make it all the funnier. Eh, I dunno. Eh, I dunno. especially if the guy taller than Jericho was like a 'Lenny' from "Of Mice and Men", slow witted, unable to recognize his own power, and wanting to do anything to make Jericho happy....until he's pushed one step too far :-)
Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted January 29, 2003 What about Billy Kidman? The Jericho/Goldberg angle took place the same night Saturn freed the Flock.
