The New Black Panther

Hey Guys.

 

I've been reading the new arc of Black Panther, I'd just like to know what you think of Kole as the panther. Personally, I think it's fun to see a gun-toting, badass cop, learning to deal with being a super-hero who is already world-famous, and already has made many dangerous enemies. (Not the least of whom is Hunter, who he's dealing with now.)

I haven't read any Black Panther, although I've always meant to.

 

I do have to say that "My Black Panther" will always be T'Challa (who I'm enjoying immensley in Avengers). Just don't know about this Kole guy, seems like Priest is just doing the same ol' vigilante cop thing that's been done to death, just probably a more intelligent version.

They are trying to garner interest from new fans by having a different person with different methods of handling things propositioned as the Black Panther when Kole is nothing like the original?

 

As long as this leads to a showdown with Kole and T'Challa I have no problem with the current storyline. But turning the book into a Punisher-lite rip-off is not going to grab readers for the long term which is what Marvel needs to do.

I would imagine assuming a leadership role in the NAACP.

T'Challa is still Black Panther... but as an exclusive Avenger. Pretty interesting character arc he and Iron Man have going on right now. The thing is, that no one truly trusts him, yet they know he's neccesary and usefull.
