Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 What the FUCK is this? From PWTorch.com WWF live event report March 8, 2002 Sarnia, Ont. at the Sports and Entertainment Centre Report by Justin Van Horne, PWTorch.com correspondent (8 Val Venis defeated Kurt Angle. An early botched spot happened when Angle jumped too early for a leapfrog and Val plunged his head into Angle's stuff. They both sold the spot well and the rest of the match was textbook. The finish came when Venis used Angle's Olympic Slam on Kurt and followed it up for the pin. WHAT THE FUCK? Kurt Angle, a three time world champion (2 WWF, 1 WCW) Lost cleanly to a fucking JOBBER! If this doesn't show that Kurt's career is over, I don't know what does.
Guest Tim Cooke Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Or it could be because Venis is from Canada and like Lance Storm, they put him over for once. It's not to hard to comprehend if you *think* about it. Tim, who likes to think about wrestling.
Guest Army Eye Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 This is a house show result? Er.. are you even trying to make a serious point here?
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 OK, then I never want to see Kurt lose a match in America again. And why over a main eventer? There wasn't a mid carder lying around to take the fall?
Guest Sakura Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Let's all shed a tear for Kurt. His career has been ruined because he did a job for someone in their home country.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Also, in WWF Land, Val is from Vegas. This is unwarrented burial of Kurt.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Let's all shed a tear for Kurt. His career has been ruined because he did a job for someone in their home country. So, to be fair, Kurt should never lose in America? That's his home country! And I wouldn't be pissed if it wasn't a jobber.
Guest Sakura Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 The WWF does shows in America all the time. Canadian fans don't get to see them as much so it's a bigger deal. Why NOT have him beat Kurt? He's the obnoxious American, who better to job? So what if he lost to Venis? It's a HOUSE SHOW.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 OK, then I never want to see Kurt lose a match in America again. And why over a main eventer? There wasn't a mid carder lying around to take the fall? Kurt is an argonant American wannabe hero, so he's a pretty ideal canidate to do a job to a Canadian to keep the fans happy.
Guest teke184 Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Weren't you one of the guys calling people whiners for complaining about Jericho getting jobbed out to a just-returning HHH at house shows?
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 OK, then I never want to see Kurt lose a match in America again. And why over a main eventer? There wasn't a mid carder lying around to take the fall? Kurt is an argonant American wannabe hero, so he's a pretty ideal canidate to do a job to a Canadian to keep the fans happy. But Kurt Angle is a main eventer, Val Venis is a jobber. Kurt couldn't lose to Edge? And who the #### cares about the fans in Narnia, Canada
Guest Sakura Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Edge wasn't there and Lance Storm is a heel. It was supposed to be Angle vs. RVD but Rob couldn't make it. They used a Canadian face wrestler to replace him. Big deal, find something else to whine about, like the fact that X-Pac is back.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 EVERY CANADIAN WAS A FACE! Where was you know, that other upper midcard Canadian! (Is there one?) If Val was the only option, Kurt should have cheated like a bitch and beat him.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 It's just a house show. If Kurt starts getting jobing all over TV then theres a problem.
Guest Sakura Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Lance already had a match. Who else could they have used? Test? Kurt didn't need to win it. Nobody is going to think less of Kurt because he lost to the home town hero at a house show. Stop being silly.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 IT's a house show, so it never happened. Get over it.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Nobody is going to think less of Kurt because he lost to the home town hero at a house show. Stop being silly. They weren't in Vegas. "Val Venis" is from Vegas. and Kurt lost to a jobber CLEAN. What if this is the start of things to come? And is Val from Narnia? If not, he's not a "Hometown hero" Austin isn't the home town hero in Miami.
Guest InigoMontoya Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 It was at a house show, and it was in another country... double whammy. The WWF will throw any two guys out there and draw the winner from a hat unless it's televised all over America, and filmed from America. In the UK, Undertaker beat both HHH and Austin in a handicap match, and HHH-Austin didn't have to tag. I think this was around the same time Kane and Undertaker lost to HHH and Austin in a tag team match, which was in America, and aired nation-wide. P.S. I don't think the UK ppv was aired in the US either, only UK and Oz. Here's some trivia for you; during that match, Austin done that ass-on-the-back thing to Taker while Taker's neck and arms were over the second rope... you know the move. Austin's knee brace was loose, and part of it clipped Taker behind the ear, busting him open the hard way. I thought it was gonna be a second "left the US with two ears and came back with one" incident.
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Jesus anglesault, its a house show. get a fucking life
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 It's a house show. 2% of the WWF fans will even know it happened so why not have Venis go over Kurt in his hometown.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 It's a house show. 2% of the WWF fans will even know it happened so why not have Venis go over Kurt in his hometown. Is Narnia Val Venis' hometown? It IS not in WWF land and I don't think it is in real life.
Guest Sakura Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 They weren't in Vegas. "Val Venis" is from Vegas. and Kurt lost to a jobber CLEAN. And is Val from Narnia? If not, he's not a "Hometown hero" Austin isn't the home town hero in Miami. Yeah, he's not literally the "hometown hero". You know exactly what I mean. What if this is the start of things to come? Then you'll have to get a new gimmick since Kurt won't be around(his career will be dead, you know).
Guest The Man in Blak Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Yeah, like townspeople who go to the show and know Sean Morely (Venis' real name?) and see him in the ring are going to say "Ooooh, that's Val Venis - he's a rat bastard." I think you're taking this "WWF Land" stuff a little too seriously.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 You are overreacting here Anglesault. If you couldn't figure it out, Angle is hated in Canada and any Canadian (even heels) are popular. Does anyone know if Val (who I believe is from Oakville) has family in Sarnia? BTW, Canadians are for the most part, smarks. They will know who is Canadian, whether they are billed as one or not. Who knows? Perhaps Angle will be rewarded with a clean win over Kane at Wrestlemania.
Guest Sakura Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 In "WWF land" Lance is evil and Bradshaw is a good guy. When they're in a special situation like that things change, kayfabe is broken.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Yeah, he's not literally the "hometown hero". You know exactly what I mean. Uhm, no, no I don't. Who knows? Perhaps Angle will be rewarded with a clean win over Kane at Wrestlemania. That should be a formality.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 And why is everybody calling it Narnia? The place is called SARNIA. Home of the Sarnia Sting.
Guest Sakura Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 It's his home country. I already explained how that is special when it's not for Kurt in the US. It may not be his actual hometown, but I assumed you would understand what I meant when I said "hometown hero". I apologize, ok?
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 And it's Sarnia, not Narnia. I've been there. It's a nice town and has a nice movie theater, but their mall has a Wal-Mart! Weird, huh? And all Candian fans are smarks, so they'll cheer every Canadian wrestler whethere he's billed as such, or not. And they don't care where in Canada he's from, If they're Canadian, they're Chilly Willy.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 It's his home country. I already explained how that is special when it's not for Kurt in the US And that's bullshit. Say Val was from Vancouver (All the way west?) and the show was in Montreal (All the way east?) How the fuck is Val a home town hero? I live in NY. I sure as #### wouldn't be a home town hero in California. The WWF is in Canada enough. And why is everybody calling it Narnia? The place is called SARNIA. Home of the Sarnia Sting. Narnia, the fairytale land in C.S. Lewis books where strange things happen.
