From 1wrestling, woohoo...

Tenacious Z over Martini by pinfall after a small package. Never have I seen a live crowd get so into a dark match as I have this one. Only match that comes close is a dark match Americas Most Wanted had a few months back. Z is totally must see performer. I have a really good idea we will see him again in TNA soon and on PPV. Just amazing. For those that don't know Z has only one leg. But don't let that fool you as he gets around the ring very well and his one-legged Asai Moonsault to the floor that is unbelievable. After the match Vince Russo, the Harris Brothers, and Mike Sanders came to the ring. They applauded Z and gave him A S.E.X. t-shirt which he took and put on. Does this mean he is S.E.X.?

...ohhhhhh yeahhhhhhhhhhh, I love that! Congrats Zach, ang good luck to you!

I'm sure he's excited as hell, just as anyone would be. Even if he isn't signed, or asked back, or however they do it in TNA, he sure left an impression from what I've heard from various other sources that saw the match, this is great! I know it was just a dark match, and whatever happens that isn't "live" isn't thought of as much, but still, this is a huge deal for him.

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

I was wondering how this turned out, and since I never go to 1wrestling, thanks for the information. Hopefully he'll get at least one match on the show itself.

That is pretty cool I guess. Was anyone there live last night that can provide some insight in to what his match was like?

I absolutely love that this guy is more than likely going to get a chance to be on the regular PPV shows. It's just so unique and he sounds like he's the type of wrestler who first gains the audiences attention by having one leg and then goes and blows them away regardless of one leg or not.

There's a big difference between "Crowd interest because of one leg" and "Crowd interest in spite of one leg." Sounds like he got their cheers the right way. (And he comes off as quite humble and nice on his official site.)

That's it. They have to put this on ppv. I need to see it. Everything I read tells me this guy is better with one leg than most are with two.

Does anyone know of a good tape with him on it, or what feds he frequents? I'd like to check him out. I've heard a lot of good things, but I have yet to see him.

I hope this doesn't sound dumb, but does he wrestle with a prosthetic or with literally only one leg down there?

You can find all of that information on his main site. I bought my tape from him personally, and they are $10 each. It's worth it though, I'm telling ya! I will again remind you that my article and interview with him will be ready soon, bwahahahahaha.

No prosthetic leg here, no sir. He'll sometimes come to the ring with it, but he never wrestles with it, he takes it off at ringside if he even comes out with it in the first place. He does his thing with only his one good leg, and that's that. We're not talking just knee down either, it's way up his theigh, it's truly amazing how he makes it work!

Thanks, Downhome ... it's one of those questions that I was afraid would expose me as someone that doesn't know everything about every indy wrestler out there. (hey, I'm old ... I have other things to spend money on other than tapes!)

I have a ton more respect knowing that he does all the insane moves that I've heard he can do with one leg. I hope he gets a good job out of this, not necessarily midcard or above but a consistent enough role to make himself some money.

I've checked out Tenacious Z's website a couple of times and I'd love to see him get some exposure on TNA just so I can see for myself if he's good as people say he is.

I'm a rookie to this board so please go easy on me, and I would like to wish the Tenacious One a ton of success. It would be awesome for someone with such a physical handicap to do great as a wrestler!

B-)

That is spooky. But cool. I hope he does well too. I have not seen any video of him but I hope some comes around soon. He seems like a valuable addition to any roster if he can wrestle better on one leg than some can do with two.

He just might be the guy that can get NWA:TNA over.

I don't get it. I think TNA is pretty much the nets favorite fed, besides ROH of course, and I think they are getting themselves over pretty well. They have done the impossible and given Vince Russo a role which works and is actually drawing a better crowd than what they had before.

Zach started wrestling for thunderzone wrestling in Livonia Michigan he also wrestles for IWR and i believe GLW all three in michigan

the guy he wrestled with in the dark match (truth martini) was the guy who trained him , Truth is probably one of the best wrestlers in michigan.

and Z is a hell of a worker especially for only wrestling since the end of march of 2002

okay, wrestling with one leg is amazing, but PLEASE TNA dont keep bringing him back, it will make TNA seem like a side show. no offense ment but as a once or twict thing its cool with me, but dont throw him in the X-division. Please! It would be a very WCW ish move. Giving him a shot is fine, but he doesnt impress me just because he has one leg.

I seriously doubt that.

Even if he did, he'll only be known as the "guy with one leg".

Damn, what naysayers!!! I almost bought a TNA PPV because of him. If the dude got skills, there is no denying him.

does he have skills to work with one leg? yes. But skills to hang with the Xmen? No way bro. Not a knock but god just dealt him a different hand. Or he may prove me wrong, but as of now I dont think he can hang.

I personally think that if he keeps the prostetic leg on all the time, cept when he is not wrestling, then as odd as it may sound, many people will almost forget he only has one leg.

I hope he stays in TNA, as he did wrestle Road Dogg. I hope he makes it, everyone deserves a clean slate in my opinion book. So far this kid has impressed me alot, not just becuase he can wrestle with one leg, but because he can wrestle better with one leg then lots of people can with 2.

Was I the only who thought watching a one-legged man carry B.G. James to a watchable match was completely fucking surreal?

Guest Kotzenjunge

To be totally honest, the only time I noticed the lack of a leg was when the announcers mentioned it. I had honestly tuned it out that much and he was good enough for me to forget.

One leg could work to his advantage. Watch a Ric Flair try and slap on the figure 4.....

Yeah, I agree about this, perhaps because I'm sick of the WWE and want an alternative. Still, it's nice to have access to another fed, one where people with talent get pushed, and where politics and "main event styles" haven't clouded over the talent. I think some people don't like TNA just because they're conditioned to hate anything Russo is associated with, but really, has he done anything as odious as in his reign of terror in WCW?
