Guest NoCalMike Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Ok this makes no sense at all. Of course this angle could be played out later tonight, but I am posting this as I just saw Vince demanding that the Board give Vince the vote of confidence, but I am not sure how or why they would do that when it is Vince who supposedly injected the poison of the nWo to kill the WWF. Unless of course the nWo has ALREADY been reduced from Poison, to just your everday heels......
Guest Tony149 Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 The WWF probably doesn't even remember that. They #### sure don't want us to remember.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 that was really dumb. but if were going to bitch about something about how HHH's dog got more air time than RVD? i know what BPS21 will say.......CONSPIRACY. I mean the dog even gets to work an injury angle.
Guest Dangerous A Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 This is just another example of the wwf's plotlines getting too cute for their own good. I appreciate a complicated, non wrestling angle IF IT'S DONE RIGHT! What happened to some of the more simpler storylines like "you've got the championship and I will do anything to get it". Or how about "I am a young buck and if you give me a shot at someone big I think I can hold my own". When you start getting too cute, you tend to forget all the little things that will now be used as credibility killers in the future. (see Invasion)
Guest NoCalMike Posted March 12, 2002 Report Posted March 12, 2002 Umm Yah, it seems that angles these days are given about a total of 1 or 2 weeks at the max to get over before they are either nixed, or modified. There is no buildup anymore. Well many people on this board said Vince was bound to screw up the nWo angle, and it surely seems he is on the right path to doing that so far.....
Guest converge241 Posted March 16, 2002 Report Posted March 16, 2002 I know its ridiculous but i was thinking of the parallells. Ric Flair's reasons for needing to be "voted out" he accidentally puncnhed a fan ((who was fine enough to be up and about backstage)) hes having a match against Taker Flairs voted out and Vince is in power ((well whatever power that is because he still has to answer to a "board of directors")) lets see what vince has done: Wrestled in a match against Flair (the man that isnt supposed to wrestle) Injected the lethal "poison" of the NWO allowed the "attempted murder" of the Rock with no punishment Formed the kiss my ass club and degraded numerous "employees" may or may not have had some hand in the whole fake pregnancy. Buys an asset ((WCW)) then talks about destroying it (on that simulcast) Drugs his wife, puts her in an institution. asks for divorce, cheats with Trish , and wants to with Torrie Masquerading as a "Higher Power" Using his daughter as bait for the Undertaker Constantle tormenting and harrasing a top employee (austin) Lying flat out to one of your employees and then explaining they screwed themselves (montreal) Bringing in a convicted rapist to be your Special Enforcer to screw Austin at WrestleMania ((man theres a lot of undertones there)) Feuding/secretly being in cahoots with your own children so much that you need a scorecard to figure it out. Checking out your daughter's rack on her "vow renewal" day (i know that ones debatle but i thought it was funny) any other reasons for Vince's character you can think of? And who the #### has power in the WWF? Vince has 50 (his and Linda's share) Flair has 50 (Steph and Shane's shares) The Board of Directors has power over them (with Linda in charge , who i guess didnt need her 25% anyway) Foley ,theoretically, still has a stack of magical contracts (who knows what the statute of limitations is on those) Michaels and Regal might have some limited input as "ex-commissioners" What about the stockholders? Are we going to see them vote on something someday? man my head hurts from trying to figure this all out.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 16, 2002 Report Posted March 16, 2002 man my head hurts from trying to figure this all out. I gave up a long time ago. That bloody dog...way to build the undisputed title. Make a dog more important. Gah.
