I think they should make him ineligible for the NBA draft and make him play 2 or 3 years in the NBDL. That would be hillarious.

It would also land the NBA in court and result in them getting taken for millions of dollars.

I think they were trying to find something on him. Everybody knows he's going to the Draft anyway so I doubt he's worried about it since he's driving his H2 and rocking his $500 worth Mitchell & Ness throwback jersey's. If he wasn't a big name in the media this would be a non issue because when I was in High School the athletes were getting all perks. And I wanna touch on that 18 year old athletes shouldn't play pro sports someone mentioned on earlier. I feel like you can't keep a 18 year old from making a living because it would be unconstituional (sp?).

I have one statement to make. I was watching ESPN last night, and they made two points.

1. His mother is unemployed.

2. His "father" (actually his mom's boyfriend) is in jail.

So how the fuck could he afford to go to a Catholic school in the first damn place?

I would imagine the high school recuited him to play for them and took care of that stuff.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that also illegal? I live in Ohio and I think so, but I've never seen anybody challenge it.

Nope it isn't, this happens a lot when it comes to recruiting players or gifted students, players might not necessarily have the money to get in private schools can get in by scholarships because their ability. Just like a kid who's a good artist that might not have the money to get in "The school of Arts" but if the recruits thinks he's talented enough he might get in with a scholarship, its the same thing with LeBron and Basketball.
