Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted February 1, 2003 I'm a huge fan of Ozzy, but I know jack about Sabbath, the only Sabbath songs I really like are Iron Man, Children of the Grave and Paranoid. Driving home from school, a Sabbath song came on the radio I'd never heard it before, but I really liked it. It started with a guitar solo and Ozzy kept singing "oh yeaH" The chorus seemed to be "I'm going to feel" and one of the verses started out "Now I have you (unknown) under my power" I'm 99% sure its Sabbath, unless its something off of Bark at the Moon (the only Ozzy CD I don't have) can anyone tell me the name of this song? Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted February 1, 2003 The song you're mentioning is indeed N.I.B. from their self-titled release, which is part of a medley. You absolutely cannot go wrong with early Sabbath. Their self-titled debut, Paranoid, Master of Reality, and Volume 4 are all PHENOMENAL albums. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, and Sabotage both have some good shit, as well. Steer clear of anything post-ozzy.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Report post Posted February 1, 2003 I'm with Agent on the fact you can't go wrong with anything Ozzy-Sabbath era related. Check out 'Symptom Of The Universe' too, if your into rockin' tunes.
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted February 1, 2003 I love that song... what does N.I.B. stand for anyway? Anyone know?

Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted February 1, 2003 Makes sense. The chicks love N.I.B. by the way, it's good for getting you laid.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted February 1, 2003 Actually, that's just coincidence. It's really named after drummer Bill Ward's goatee, which they referred to as a "nib". Seriously. The first two Sabbath albums were recorded VERY hastily, with little technical knowhow. The single Paranoid, for instance, was thrown together in about 15 minutes when they were told to put a radio single on the album. Writing lyrics, music, recording, everything only took a matter of minutes with that track, which happened to be their biggest hit, and a prototype for heavy metal bands for years to come. Go figure. If memory serves, the self-titled album was recorded in someone's basement in a few hours. Pretty amazing, considering it's the single best album I've ever heard. Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted February 1, 2003 Thanks for all the information everyone. My mom was a huge fan of Black Sabbath, I'll have to dig out the old turntable from the basement because the only sabbath she has is records. I also have a date on Sunday night, I guess I'll have to tape NIB for the ride.
