Guest alkeiper Report post Posted February 1, 2003 Keith Van Horn: Basketball Prospectus said it best. Never before have bad hair and bad socks like this come together in one package. Allen Iverson: Say what you will about his shot percentage, but no one is better at making shots out of nothing. Plus, he's one of the most exciting players to watch in the NBA. Steve Nash, Shawn Bradley, Dirk Nowitski: They need to make a guest appearance on King of the Hill, where the gang can assume that since they're from the NBA, they're black. Whiteness=hilarity ensues. Yao Ming: Jury's still out, but so far an exciting new star. Vince Carter: I know its popular to bash him, but he doesn't get into trouble with the law, and I don't recall hearing him shoot his mouth off. I hope he returns to old form. Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted February 1, 2003 Kevin G.: The Big Ticket and Tim Duncan are my favorite two players. It's hard to believe KG is in his 8th year.
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted February 1, 2003 Keith Van Horn: A bench player at best. Mike Bibby: If the Kings win it it'll be because of him. Allen Iverson: Deserves a lot more respect than he gets. Pau Gasol: Good, not great. Shane Battier: The Stacey Augmon of the 2000's. Steve Nash: Needs to quit using spit to keep his hair back. Michael Finley: Once again, deserves more respect. The Mavs turnaround started with him. Shawn Bradley: He's tall. Paul Pierce: Over-rated. Doesn't suck, but he's no superstar. Dirk Nowitzki: The man. Eduardo Najera: Why would I even have an opinion on him? Raef LaFrentz: People seem to think he's good but I've never seen him do anything. Jason Kidd: One of the best PGs around but I honestly don't think he should be a MVP candidate. Baron Davis: Could be something special on a different team. Jamal Mashburn: He's just one of those guys that hangs around for a few years, puts up a lot of points and then retires. Jay Williams: Not worth the hype. Pretty close to being a bust compared to all the expectations. Chris Webber: If the Kings DON'T win a championship it'll be because of him. I wouldn't let him anywhere near my team. Don't get what people see in him at all. Yao Ming: Too early. What will he be next year? Will the flashes of brilliance take over or will they still just be flashes? Cause right now he's just a 12 and 8 guy. Troy Murphy is better than that and he's not exactly in a lot of commercials. Jerry Stackhouse: Completely average. Ricky Davis: Good dunks, terrible attitude, not much else. Vin Baker: Should've been cut years ago. Antoine Walker: Doesn't understand basketball or his position. Until he learns how to be a power forward and quit shooting 3's he's useless. Elton Brand: Puts up numbers but he's not gonna carry a team and be a superstar. Andre Miller: Was supposed to turn the Clips into a playoff team. Didn't do it did he? Was probably lucky to be the best player on a bad team which made him look better than he really is. Marko Jaric: Uh....whatever. Corey Maggette: Dunks a lot. Cherokee Parks: Looks like he should be in Motley Crue. Lamar Odom: Always either high or injured. Neither one of those things helps a basketball team. Quentin Richardson: Dunks a lot. Zhizhi Wang: Has a kick ass nickname. Eric Piatkowski: Don't understand how he's still around but I'm happy for him. Kobe: Ego, ego and more ego. He thinks he's the best player in the world. It's gonna be a big surprise to him when Shaq retires and he finds out that he's not as good as he thinks he is. Shaq: He's big and he's a crybaby. Has capitalized on a center-depraved league. If there more than 1 or 2 talented centers in the league to compete against him, he wouldn't be as dominating. Antawn Jamison: Under-rated. Jason Richardson: He dunks a lot. Mike Dunleavy Jr.: Over-rated. I never understood the hype about him. I haven't heard his name more than three times since he turned pro. Kenyon Martin: He dunks a lot. Kevin G.: The real MVP. He's actually TOO good to win the award. He puts up such fantastic numbers every single year, that he gets over-looked for the award because...well, he does that every year. The T-Wolves are a one man team and if that doesn't scream MVP I don't know what does. Steve Francis: Should've gotten the Rockets into the playoffs by now. Cuttino Mobley: He dunks a lot. Jim Jackson: Great pickup for the Kings. How he slipped through the cracks for so long I'll never know. Peja Stojakovic: He can shoot. Turkoglu: Has a cool name. Jordan: I thought he did a great job as the GM of the Wizards. It looked like he was really turning the team around and building a future. Then he decides to stroke his own ego some more. His comeback has really put together a questionable team and put their post-Jordan future in serious jeopardy.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted February 1, 2003 I don't watch as much basketball as I use to...I try and keep up though. Keith Van Horn: Great college player Allen Iverson: The best going now...too bad the guy's an asshole. Shawn Bradley: um...he's tall. Dirk Nowitzki: I like Dirk, would like to see the Mavs win it all this year if the Pistons can't. Jamal Mashburn: I like Mash, I was a huge Kentucky fan, glad he made the all star team this year. Chris Webber: Chris, why did you call that time out. Yao Ming: I mark for the Ming...but why is his first name on the back of his jersey? Jerry Stackhouse: bye bye...Detroit is doing just fine without you Cherokee Parks: BUST! Kobe: Would have just as easily won 3 titles without the overrated Phil Jackson...one of the best going now. Shaq: The more I see of him the less I like him. Antawn Jamison: Thought he would be bigger coming out of college. Kevin G.: Will never win a championship Steve Franchis: I like him. Jordan: What can you really say? He's the best there ever was. And I could care less that he's sticking around past his prime. If he can still perform at an NBA level then he should play if he wants to...Oh, but I hate him for troubling the Pistons in the early 90s
Guest red_file Report post Posted February 2, 2003 Yao Ming: I mark for the Ming...but why is his first name on the back of his jersey? It's not. Yao is the family name, Ming is his first name. In many countries the family name is presented first. In America we should be referring to him as Ming Yao.
