Guest Anglesault Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Ok, lemme be a little more specific......when i say "Mat" wrestling i mean Benjamin had Brock down for a good minute and a half in a cover position without moving...then Brock reversed it and did the same......This looked like a standard high school wrestling match. Truthfully, Brock spent a TON of time lying down on the mat from the beginning so there have been something wrong with him last night. It seems like he was off his feet 95% of the time ::The image of Brock/Cena runs through his head again:: Damnit! I thought that was blocked out! I need to go back to therapy.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Knowing Team Angle, they did alot of resting holds and Olympic style mat work. That is VERY boring when the crowd is pissed. If the crowd is booing the hell out of everything from Triple H saying he can't wrestle to the last bell of the night. I say that Brock and Team Angle should have done a "Sports Entertianment" match to pop the crowd. Then Brock vs Angle should have done a wrestling match to make a change of pace to make the crowd enjoy what they are seeing. As for Angle and Brock going at a houseshow. The greatest WWF match ever in my opinion was Savage vs Steamboat. Their first match was in 1985 at Wrestling Classics. So that just means nothing. And lets not forget that if you go to the house show the night before a PPV, you see the ENTIRE PPV for a shell of the price.
Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I really felt bad for Team Angle, as many people left during their match and the Brock/Benjamin match got some boring chants. It was really a tough spot for them as the crowd was pissed at no Brock/HHH match. So this match never had a chance to get a good response. So how is Brock supposed to be a draw when people are walking out on his match?I know the crowd was upset b/c they didn't get what they paid for, but they were getting a Mania preview, mark my words by next year Brock won't be as over as he is right now. I like Brock as a main eventer but i don't think he is on the Austin/Hogan level as a main eventer, the fans will get tired of his monster push.
