Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted February 3, 2003 So, story one, from Pitchfork: Let It Be to be reissued sans Spector's production. I like this idea, because it's his fucking organs that ruin "The Long And Winding Road" for me. And story two, from NME: Phil Spector charged with murder. Busy day for Philly boy. Guest Kinetic Report post Posted February 3, 2003 First Pete Townshend with the child pornography, now Phil Spector's been charged with murder. It's always the people you immediately suspect.

Guest godthedog Report post Posted February 4, 2003 one part of me says: thank god for the 'let it be' reissue. now there can finally be a playable version of 'across the universe'. another part of me says: wait, you can take the tracks from the anthologies and basically reconstruct the album without any spectorisation. except the anthology version of 'across the universe' also sucks. i hope they release it on vinyl. they took the chorus & strings out of all the other tracks, why didn't they take them out of 'i me mine'? i personally thought the angelic overkill was perfect for the title track. it'll be interesting to hear it without the orchestration. Guest snuffbox Report post Posted February 4, 2003 Phil Spector's karma should end up where it belongs...his teeth biting the pillow of steel bar suite. This seems about right...
