Guest EdwardKnoxII Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 At the start of RAW I got it in Spanish for a few minutes and then they switched back to normal. Did this happen to anyone else?
Guest redneckBEBE Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 There's a RAW thread up top, Captain Obvious.
Guest HartFan86 Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 It was a WCW El Production Fuck up-o.
Guest mercutio80 Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Yeah, me, too. The opening segment between Morley and Bischoff was in Spanish. When they cut to the Raw "opening announcement," it was in Spanish but cut to English almost immediately. At first I thought it was some sort of sad little joke, but it seems that it was an accident.
Guest EdwardKnoxII Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 This isn't about that. It's just asking did this happen to anyone else.
Guest EdwardKnoxII Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 It would have been funny to hear a HHH interview in Spanish. It would have made it a hell of alot more fun.
Guest EternallyLazy Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 RAW stayed in Spanish throughout the intro, credits, and about 30 seconds into JR's opening commentary for me before switching back
Guest T®ITEC Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Yeah, me too. I *really* enjoyed the show a whole lot more in Spanish.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 So you're saying I don't need a new TV? Thank god....... Seriously though I sat there and played with my TV settings throughout that whole thing.....
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 They should have Raw in a different language every week, it'd be better than listening to the drawn out boring promos and commentary by the usual idiots.
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Closed captioning seemed to be in English though.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 that's the second time it's started in Spanish for me.
Guest AndrewTS Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Just as long as next week it isn't in Steiner-Ese.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Haha...I was fooling with the remote control.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 Yeah, this wasn't the first time it's happened to me...but tonight it ran longer then it ever has before. It was kinda funny listening to the Bischoff/Val convo like that
cawthon777 Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 "SI SENOR BISCHOFF!!!!!" "YO SOY EL GAME-O!!!!" I actually tried playing with the audio so I could listen to the rest of the show in Spanish. It's like Univision ... only instead of the weird looking puppets, we've got Triple H.
Guest Sturgis Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 "SI SENOR BISCHOFF!!!!!" "YO SOY EL GAME-O!!!!" I actually tried playing with the audio so I could listen to the rest of the show in Spanish. It's like Univision ... only instead of the weird looking puppets, we've got Triple H. and the HOT women watch Caliente on Saturday's at 2 or whatever time it comes on in your area and you'll drool for and hour. I think the whole Spanish problem was just a common mistake or a cruel joke. Either way is was damn funny.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 That was pretty funny. It prolly sucked for the rest that didn't know any Spanish. You could barely hear them. I hope the WWE puts that as one of the best moments of 2003.
Guest deadbeater Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 No wonder the hottest indie tag team call themselves the Spanish Announce Team.
Guest Enziganny Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 They just bein down with the Latino Population ya know Word Up Dunz
Guest RugbyDiva Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I thought I was hallucenating at first... and Morley sounded soooooo much like a girl!
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Just for the record, live at the show the segment was in English and fine. I wonder what the problem was on TV.
Guest Choken One Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 Just as long as next week it isn't in Steiner-Ese. Am I the only one whom actually UNDERSTANDS Steiner? and I am fucking deaf!
