Guest RobJohnstone Report post Posted February 7, 2003 You know everyone takes everything I say out of context. Well not necesarily everyone, but with the increase of these liberal assholes from swf coming into CE, I have been getting shitted on non stop. I do not agree with you supporting killing babies, yet I do not create some stupid thread about you in NHB. This is childish nonsense and I will not partake in it. --Rob

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2003 If you didn't want to participate, you could have kept to your policy from the last 3 days of not posting in this thread. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted February 7, 2003 Yes, Rob. The fact that you're vastly outnumbered has everything to do with the fact that some of us are in an e-fed, and nothing to do with the fact that your beliefs are nonsensical and that you can't defend them competently anyway. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted February 7, 2003 You know everyone takes everything I say out of context. So you didn't say we shouldn't have gone into World War II? increase of these liberal assholes from swf coming into CE Translation: Since CE used to be primarily conservatives I figured I could post my views and everyone would agree with me thus not having to defend my ridiculous viewpoints. I do not agree with you supporting killing babies I don't support you being a fucking moron who makes religion look bad. I do not create some stupid thread about you in NHB. No- you just start stupid threads in CE that always veer off topic since you can't defend your viewpoints. This is childish nonsense and I will not partake in it. Then why are you doing it in CE? Mocking Rob E for his age, complaining about being out numbered, not citing your sources, claiming liberal bias for everything- stop being a hypocrite and a fucking moron and maybe everyone won't bash you. Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted February 7, 2003 Hey Now. I remember when I was one of the FEW Liberals on the Current Event folders trying to duke it out with the likes of the "know-it-all" Marney. RobJ, I think this thread was more meants as a rib, rather than an insult. I am sure EVERYONE gets a NHB thread named after them sometime during their tenure here at the SMFs
Guest MD2020 Report post Posted February 7, 2003 Rob is a guru, he has taught me much. Apparently, my entire people, being mostly Catholic, are not in fact Christians and are certainly undesirable compared to normal Christians. Who would have thought that a slightly different branch of a religion makes it TOTALLY DIFFERENT???? I'm an atheist, but boi do I know now that those Catholics are all mindless fools brainwashed by the Pope. Wait--Catholic's aren't Christians??? Who the hell have I been praying to all of these years?? I wonder if Rob is like Jack Chick, and that I'm going to hell because I accept a "Death Cookie" at Mass (well, at least when I used to go to Mass)
Guest Banky Report post Posted February 7, 2003 The US was a vital part of WW2. Otherwise we would have had Commies in France instead of Nazis. Hitler never could have won, though. At the same time, without Britain & Canada keeping the war alive in 1941 it would have been too late to do anything. WW2 was a group effort, but am not denying that the US was the most important of the western Allies. The USSR was more important in taking out Hitler though. Add in the Pacific, and we really needed the US. WW1 was over by the time the US got involved. Sure it lingered a while longer, but Germany lost everything when they ran a do or die offensive to take Paris. From that point they were basically stalling to get the best possible deal, and avoid the fact that they had to tell the German people that they lost the war (when propoganda would have suggested otherwise). If anything, the US was a bad influence on the First World War, because there insistance on not negotiating with Wilhelm and mucking up the peace process helped lead to Hitler's takeover in 1933. Lloyd George had his hand in this too. Wilson also tried to get Canada kicked out of the Peace Conference as well, which was annoying considering we were in the war from the beginning. They were not the most important entity in World War II. Russia lost so many soliders in the Russo-German War that Britain and its Allies could have cleaned up. Italy was useless, so they couldn't have prevented anything. America took a very weak stand as it pertained to the second World War. Essentially they refused to get involved because it wasn't *their* problem. Not until the Japanese bombed them was it considered a big deal. In fact, 95% of Americans were opposed to war before Pearl Harbor. As long as it doesn't effect the, they coulda gived a fuck. In World War I, America was pretty much secret Allies with the British for much of the war. They maintained most of their trading with them, as well as supplying them with weaponry. America did have more of an effect in WWI as their imminent arrival scared the living shit out of the Germans. If America hadn't joined, Germany would have won. With Russia out of the opicture, France pretty much fucked, and Britain suffering - it would have been over. With the input of over a million soldiers joining the battle, Germany had to hit the Allies before the Americans were ready. And they lost at the second Marne. But of course, with American's inclusion of the first World War they dragged their feet big time. They wanted to wait a good while to 'properly' train the soliders before throwing them in the trenches. While in theory that sounds like a good idea, the fact was the Allies needed them immediatly. France and Britain didn't have a warm up run with the trenches. They went in there and suffered for their country. Million upon millions loost their lives for their countries cause, if the Amercians felt that strongly about their Allies winning, they should have joined earlier. That said, it was great they joined when they did, because if they hadn't, many of us wouldn't be here today. So yes, America has always been a great help to the wars, its just their methods and policies in conjunction to the war were suspect.

Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted February 7, 2003 Without America, Stalin would have stopped at Poland. Without America, the British wouldn't have been able to defeat Japan. Without America, England and Germany would have bombed each other for so long, that they would decide for peace eventually. America was the industrial force that won WW2. They were the only nation on Earth with more men and resources than Nazi Germany. I'm not saying we did it alone, but we came out of it the most influencial country in the world and all. One final Note: Someone said if England hadn't kept the fight going till '41, it would have been too late. That's true, but America supplied the much need arms for the English in the Lend-Lease program.

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2003 I found the real reason why Germany lost WW2! From April 9th, 1941: "Nazis Ban Dutch Boy Scouts German authorities in the Netherlands abolish the Boy Scout movement on the grounds that it is under British influence through the International Boy Scout organization." You don't expect to win a war with the Boy Scouts supporting the other side!

Guest EricMM Report post Posted February 8, 2003 Hamburgler, the Catholics are the basic original Christians ever since they fight settled down as to what Christianity WAS. Catholicism actually was one of the most liberal sects, and so it survived the creation of the Church as we know it. All protestants split off of Catholicism. Unless you were being silly? Maybe becasue almost every other powerful nation on earth was busy rebuilding their shattered nations? Wasn't our fault that the Versaille Treaty pissed off and disinfranchised the Germans enough that Hitler was able to rise to power. We also never signed the Versailles Treaty. Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted February 8, 2003 If America had joined the war earlier Britian and other nations wouldn't have suffered anywhere near the damage they did. If England and France hadn't SCREWED GERMANY OVER in the Versailles Treaty. Over pointless bullshit rivalries, I might add, then you WOULDN'T NEED TO REBUILD EUROPE. Wait, scratch that. America wouldn't have to help you rebuild Europe. (Marshall Plan, class?) The Soviets had more men, but they didn't know how to effectivly use them. Same with their resources. (Which is why they bought tons of grain from America during the Cold War.) And why should we have entered the war pre-41? We didn't know about the Holocaust. We thought it was another European pissing contest. (You guys having all-out Continent wide wars since 1642.) I don't know, any way you look at it, after WWII America wore the daddy-pants for the entire world.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted February 8, 2003 America wanted to be an isolationist nation man that's hard to comprehend NOW. Look guys I'm not denying tht America played America played a big role in WW2. The real heros however are the CITIZENS of Great Britian and other countries who even though they faced daily bombardments and other horrors day after day for years continued to struggle on. Without people like that there'd have been no hope.
